SENSOR SIGNAL OFFSET COMPENSATION SYSTEM FOR A CMM TOUCH PROBE
20170328697 · 2017-11-16 ·

A touch probe circuit comprises a displacement sensor having a sensor signal responsive to touch probe stylus displacement, an offset compensation controller, and a difference amplifier. The offset compensation controller provides a varying offset compensation signal to compensate drift in a rest-state signal component of the sensor signal. The difference amplifier inputs the offset compensation signal and the sensor signal and amplifies the difference therebetween to provide an offset compensated displacement signal, which is output to a touch trigger signal generating circuit that provides a touch signal when the stylus touches a workpiece, and is also output to the offset compensation controller. The offset compensation controller portion provides a feedback loop that inputs the offset compensated displacement signal and outputs a responsive low pass filtered offset compensation signal to the difference amplifier, in order to provide the offset compensated displacement signal.

The envelope of the component delivery device is not accessible by the operator in the operator zone. The collaborative robot supports the gauge tool and has a range of motion capable of measuring the first component on the first fixture and a second component on the second fixture. A control module is in communication with the gauge and the collaborative robot and operates the collaborative robot to measure the first component on the first fixture and the second component on the second fixture.

THREE-DIMENSIONAL SCANNER WITH DATA COLLECTION FEEDBACK

A three-dimensional (3D) scanner, which is in communication with a display, includes one or more optical sensors. The scanner scans, using the one or more optical sensors, an object having a surface. The scanning generates data corresponding to a 3D shape of at least a portion of the surface of the object. The scanner generates a 3D reconstruction of the shape of the surface of the object. The scanner provides a preview of the 3D reconstruction of the at least portion of the shape of the surface of the object. The scanner provides, to the display, for rendering with the preview of the 3D reconstruction of the at least portion of the shape of the surface of the object, an indication of at least one of a quantity or a quality of the data corresponding to the 3D shape of the at least portion of the surface of the object.

Drilling template

A 3D printed drilling template (20, 30a, 30b, 30c) including: a rigid framework able to be manipulated by an operator or an automaton, and a set of traversing (22, 32a, 32b, 32c, 33c) orifices in the framework and arranged to guide the drilling of holes into a structure on which the drilling template is mounted, wherein the drilling template (20, 30a, 30b, 30c) is designed or revised on an ad-hoc basis and manufactured by 3D printing and using a 3D printing material based on a polymer material mixed with powdered graphene.

Method and apparatus for inspecting workpieces

A series of nominally identical production workpieces is measured on a measuring apparatus. To correct for temperature variations, one of the workpieces forms a master artifact, the dimensions of which are known. The artifact is measured on the measuring apparatus at two or more temperatures, producing two or more corresponding sets of measured dimensional values of the master artifact at the respective temperatures. One or more error maps, look-up tables, or functions are generated which relate the measured dimensional values of the artifact to the known dimensions of the artifact. The error map(s), look-up table(s) or function(s) are dependent on the respective temperatures at which the artifact was measured. Correction values derived from the error map(s), look-up table(s) or function(s) are used to correct the measurements of production workpieces in the series. These correction values are determined in dependence upon the temperature at which the workpiece measurements were obtained.

Optical measurement stability control system

An optical measurement stability control system includes a case, a circulating flow field, an optical measurement system and a heat dissipation flow field. The case has an airtight space. The circulating flow field is located in the airtight space and adapted to generate an airflow flowing in the airtight space. The optical measurement system is located in the airtight space and located on a flow path of the airflow. The heat dissipation flow field is connected to the case and located at an end of the flow path. The heat dissipation flow field discharges heat out of the airtight space by heat conduction and forced convection.

Length-measuring device

A length-measuring device includes a scale and a mounting element. The mounting element has a first fastening portion by which the mounting element is stationarily attached to the scale and a second fastening portion configured to be stationarily attached to a support. An arrangement of a plurality of flexible struts is provided between the first fastening portion and the second fastening portion which, through flexure, allows the first fastening portion to move relative to the second fastening portion perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction. The arrangement of struts is configured to compensate for a flexure-induced change in length of the struts in such a way that no movement will result from the flexure-induced change in length between the first fastening portion and the second fastening portion in the longitudinal direction.
