Alignment tool
An alignment tool for a pile cap is disclosed, wherein the alignment tool comprises: a tensioner configured to apply tension to a cord; a pile cap fastener coupled to the tensioner; and a cord guide coupled to the fastener; wherein the cord guide is configured to guide a cord under tension by the tensioner.
TRI-SEGMENTED BASELINE FOR GNSS BASED ANTENNA ALIGNMENT
A global navigation satellite system (GNSS) antenna alignment device may have two movably attached arms to a main housing of the antenna alignment device. Each arm may have a GNSS antenna mounted thereon. The baseline between the GNSS antennas is therefore tri-segmented, with a first arm forming a first segment, a second arm forming a second segment, and the main housing forming a third segment. The length and orientation of the baseline may be adjusted by moving one or more of the first arm and the second arm. Furthermore, the first arm and the second arm may be stowed for a convenient storage and transport.

GUIDE SYSTEM FOR ASSISTANCE IN MOUNTING A SONAR TRANSDUCER ASSEMBLY OR HOUSING
A guide system is provided for use in mounting of a sonar transducer assembly or housing. The guide system includes a gauge having horizontal lines marked thereon. The horizontal lines indicate appropriate tab positions corresponding to hull angles of a watercraft. The guide system also includes a reference tab configured to be positioned on the gauge at an appropriate tab position corresponding to an estimated hull angle to indicate a correct sonar transducer assembly or housing position. Sloped lines may be marked on the gauge, and the sloped lines may extend at different slopes and may be configured to provide the estimated hull angle of the watercraft when the user aligns one of the sloped lines with a bottom edge of the hull of the watercraft at a position corresponding to the position where the sonar transducer assembly or housing will be mounted to the hull.

Precision shaft alignment training method and device
A system and method for aligning multiple pieces of rotary machinery equipment by coupling rotating shafts extending from at least one of the multiple pieces of rotary machinery equipment. The system includes mounting a first piece of rotary machine equipment to a device comprising two U-shaped plates that are interlocked with each other. The alignment method includes a process for adjusting the first piece of rotary equipment with respect to a first U-shaped plate to correct for either a vertical offset or angular misalignment.

High precision air bearing stage with capability of parasitic error compensation
A high precision air bearing stage for wafer inspection and a method of runout errors detecting and compensating. The air bearing stage includes a base block, a crossbeam mounted on the base block, a sliding table configured to carry a compensation stage, a motor and a grating ruler used to drive the sliding table to move along the crossbeam, sensors used for monitoring the position of the sliding table in real time, air-bearing used for supporting the sliding table, and a compensation stage configured to compensate the runout errors of the air bearing stage based on the real-time detecting data from the sensors. The air-bearing includes a first air-bearing, a second air-bearing and a third air-bearing.
Tool for precise locating of fasteners under coatings
A fastener locating tool equipped with a sensor head having one or more probes and a method for operating such a tool for precisely locating a fastener that is hidden or buried under a thick coating applied on a surface of a structure. The fastener locating tool may be manually or automatically operated. The fastener locating tool includes a platform having a central opening, means for temporarily attaching the platform to a coated surface, and a sensor head that may be easily mechanically coupled to and then later decoupled from the platform. Optionally, the fastener locating tool also includes a multi-stage positioning system with X and Y stages which may be used to adjust the position of the sensor head. The sensor head includes at least one probe which generates electrical signals indicating the presence of a fastener beneath a coating when the probe is within a detection range.
