Oral Care System and Method for Promoting Oral Hygiene

In one embodiment, an oral care system is disclosed that includes an oral care device and at least one programmable processor. The oral care device includes a head having a reference face, a light source, at least one orientation sensor generating orientation data corresponding to orientation measurements of the reference face during a freeform oral care routine, and at least one optical sensor generating optical sensor data representing optical feedback resulting from the light from the light source being incident upon sections of the oral cavity. The processor, based on the orientation data, determines which optical sensor data corresponds with which of the sections of the oral cavity. For each section of the oral cavity, based on the corresponding optical sensor data, the processor determines an oral care characteristic.

Devices, systems, and methods for real-time peeling

Devices, systems, and methods for real-time peeling are disclosed. Peeling can include including evaluating and controlling one or more peelers to remove peel from organic materials. Evaluation can be performed by an evaluation system including a convolutional neural network to determine a peel value. Control can be performed by a machine learning model on the basis of the peel value. Control can include determination of real-time settings for peeler tool speed and/or gate position.

ORAL CARE SYSTEM, IMPLEMENT, AND/OR KIT

An oral care device having a head with cleaning elements and a handle coupled to the head. The handle may include a selectively rotatable ring arranged between the head and a distal end of the handle that is configured to allow a user to select a desired mode of operation of the oral care device. The handle may include a selectively illuminated light that is configured to display at least one color that visually indicates that certain behaviors, patterns, and/or consistent habits have been performed successfully. The handle may include a processor configured to track a duration of a user's brushing session, a light ring on a bottom surface of the handle, and a pressure sensor. Respective portions of the light ring may be selectively illuminated by the processor to visualize progress toward achieving a predetermined brushing routine time and/or to visualize an over-pressure condition sensed by the pressure sensor.
