A personal care system having personal hygiene products and a display for assisting the user is described. The personal care system can include a personal care product (e.g., an electric toothbrush), an interactive display in data communication with the personal care product. The display provides information associated with a plurality of characteristics of a personal care regimen to the user. The display is in data communication with a network and operable to receive information from the network, and the display is operable to run one or more applications to display the information received from the network.

The present disclosure provides a new design for a toothbrush having a detachable bristle head portion that interlocks with a bristle frame mounting portion to form a watertight seal. The detachable bristle head has a novel bristle formation, with the bristle holes being formed into parallel horizontal lines, and the bristles taking on a rounded shape. The toothbrush is further provided with a novel calendar reminder mechanism in the form of a rotatable cap coupled to the distal end of the brush handle, allowing a user to set a month reminder for the next time the detachable bristle head should be replaced.

A system for providing a connected dental device is disclosed. In particular, the system may include integrating a network chip or transceiver into a dental device, such as a toothbrush, so as to enable the dental device to communicate with a user device and one or more accessory devices. Once the user device and one or more accessory devices are paired with the user device, the system may track information associated with the dental device and the user using the dental device. Based on the tracked information, the system may determine an action to be performed by the user using the dental device. Using the dental device, the system may transmit a notification to the user device to alert the user of the action that needs to be performed. The system may also transmit notifications providing status information for the dental device and the one or more accessory devices.

A system and method of determining and notifying a user when to replace a worn dental cleaning head (104), comprises receiving, from a sensor (106), at least one measured value; calculating, using the measured value, a burn metric of the dental cleaning head; modeling, using the burn metric, an estimated lifetime of the dental cleaning head; determining, from the lifetime model, whether the dental cleaning head is in need of replacement; and notifying the user upon determining that the dental cleaning head is in need of replacement.

A head for an oral-care implement comprises a number of colored filaments extending from a mounting surface of the head and being grouped together to define an initial color pattern. The colored filaments comprise at least a first and a second type of filament, wherein the types of filaments differ in color-changing characteristics over a pre-defined period of time, the pre-defined period of time being the same for the first and the second type of filament so that the initial color pattern changes color characteristics over at least a first pre-defined period of time to a first color pattern, the first color pattern being different form the initial color pattern.

A magnetic personal guide for guiding a user through a personal care routine is adapted for releasably holding a personal care implement. The personal care implement includes a section at least partially made from a magnetic and/or ferromagnetic material. The magnetic personal guide includes: a guidance tool, the guidance tool being activated by detaching the personal care implement from the magnetic personal care guide; and an electro-chrome display providing a signal guiding the user through the personal care routine when the guidance tool is activated. A personal care guidance system for guiding a user through a personal care routine that includes such magnetic personal care guide and a personal care implement comprising a section at least partially made from a magnetic and/or ferromagnetic material.

A system for tracking and storing data associated with a personal care routine, the system including: a personal care implement having a section at least partially made from a magnetic and/or ferromagnetic material, and a magnetic guide to which the personal care implement is magnetically attachable and detachable, wherein the magnetic guide includes a guidance tool, the guidance tool being activated to track and store data by detaching the personal care implement from the magnetic guide.

A kit for supporting an environmentally sustainable personal care routine, the kit including: a personal care implement that includes a section at least partially made from a magnetic and/or ferromagnetic material, and a magnetic personal care guide to which the personal care implement is magnetically attachable and detachable, the magnetic personal care guide including a guidance tool, the guidance tool being activated and providing guidance on environmentally sustainable behavior by detaching the personal care implement from the magnetic personal care guide.
