The present disclosure provides a new design for a toothbrush having a detachable bristle head portion that interlocks with a bristle frame mounting portion to form a watertight seal. The detachable bristle head has a novel bristle formation, with the bristle holes being formed into parallel horizontal lines, and the bristles taking on a rounded shape. The toothbrush is further provided with a novel calendar reminder mechanism in the form of a rotatable cap coupled to the distal end of the brush handle, allowing a user to set a month reminder for the next time the detachable bristle head should be replaced.

HEAD FOR AN ORAL CARE IMPLEMENT AND ORAL CARE IMPLEMENT
20240215709 · 2024-07-04 ·

A head for an oral-care implement comprises a number of colored filaments extending from a mounting surface of the head and being grouped together to define an initial color pattern. The colored filaments comprise at least a first and a second type of filament, wherein the types of filaments differ in color-changing characteristics over a pre-defined period of time, the pre-defined period of time being the same for the first and the second type of filament so that the initial color pattern changes color characteristics over at least a first pre-defined period of time to a first color pattern, the first color pattern being different form the initial color pattern.

Systems and methods for providing device usage data

Included are embodiments of a system for monitoring device usage. The system may include a handheld device for performing an action, where the handheld device includes an engagement sensor and a computer that includes a processor and a memory component. The memory component stores logic that causes the computer to determine a minimum device engagement time of the handheld device. In some embodiments, the logic causes the computer to receive output data from the engagement sensor, where the output data includes an actual device engagement time, determine if the actual device engagement time is at least as long as the minimum device engagement time, and in response to determining that the actual device engagement time is at least as long as the minimum device engagement time, determine the action taken by the handheld device.

FILAMENT FOR AN ORAL CARE IMPLEMENT AND ORAL CARE IMPLEMENT

A filament for an oral care implement has a longitudinal axis and a substantially cross-shaped cross-sectional area extending in a plane substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The cross-shaped cross-sectional area has four projections and four channels. The projections and channels are arranged in an alternating manner. Each channel has a concave curvature formed by neighboring and converging projections. The concave curvature has a radius, and each projection is end-rounded thereby forming a curvature. The curvature has a diameter, and the ratio of the diameter of the curvature of the projection to the radius of the curvature of the channel is from about 0.2 to about 1.5.

SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS OF A SELF-ACTIVATION USE ODOMETER FOR A SKIN CARE BRUSH

A workpiece, such as a brush head, having a replacement indicator is provided, which is suitable for use with a personal care appliance. In use, the replacement indicator can provide an indication to the user recommending that the brush head be replaced after a duration has elapsed. The brush head includes a window to view the progress of the duration for recommended replacement and an indication when the duration has elapsed. In some embodiments, the duration is commenced when the brush head is initially installed on the personal care appliance.

CONNECTED DENTAL DEVICE

A system for providing a connected dental device is disclosed. In particular, the system may include integrating a network chip or transceiver into a dental device, such as a toothbrush, so as to enable the dental device to communicate with a user device and one or more accessory devices. Once the user device and one or more accessory devices are paired with the user device, the system may track information associated with the dental device and the user using the dental device. Based on the tracked information, the system may determine an action to be performed by the user using the dental device. Using the dental device, the system may transmit a notification to the user device to alert the user of the action that needs to be performed. The system may also transmit notifications providing status information for the dental device and the one or more accessory devices.
