WEAR-OUT DETECTION FOR AN ORAL CARE SYSTEM
A wear-out assessment for an oral care system (14) (e.g. an oral cleaning device) is disclosed. A sensor unit (16) of the oral care system is adapted to provide a sensor signal related to a cleaning efficacy of a cleaning function of the oral care system when generated when the oral care system is inside a user's mouth. The sensor unit (16) may be, or may be coupled to, a component which is used during execution of an oral care function of the device, for example a sensor for detecting cleaning progress in the mouth, or a component which drives a cleaning or treatment action in the mouth. In accordance with the invention, the sensor signal (20) generated when the oral care system is outside the mouth is used for performing a wear-out assessment. As relevant components used by the oral care system (14) for the oral care function wear, characteristics of the sensor signal (20) may change in a predictable way, which can be used to identify when a wear-out state has been reached.
Connected dental device
A system for providing a connected dental device is disclosed. In particular, the system may include integrating a network chip or transceiver into a dental device, such as a toothbrush, so as to enable the dental device to communicate with a user device and one or more accessory devices. Once the user device and one or more accessory devices are paired with the user device, the system may track information associated with the dental device and the user using the dental device. Based on the tracked information, the system may determine an action to be performed by the user using the dental device. Using the dental device, the system may transmit a notification to the user device to alert the user of the action that needs to be performed. The system may also transmit notifications providing status information for the dental device and the one or more accessory devices.
Replacement indicating brush
A wear indicator is provided, which is suitable for use with a workpiece, such as a replaceable brush head. In use, the wear indicator can provide an indication to the user recommending that the workpiece be replaced.
INDICATING TOOTHBRUSH
The disclosure provides for a toothbrush comprising a head, a neck, and a handle. The neck connects the head to the handle. The neck may meet the handle at an angle. The handle comprises an indicator assembly, comprising one or more contact plates, a light source, a circuit board, and a power source. The circuit board may connect the contact plates, the light source, and the power source to each other. A gap may separate the contact plates, or portions thereof. Movement of the neck about the angle may reduce the gap, causing the contact plates, or portions of, to come into contact and activate the indicator assembly. This may cause the light source to emit a light. The handle may comprise a counter that tracks the number of activations. The light source may emit a color dependent on the number tracked by the counter.
TOOTHBRUSH SYSTEM WITH MAGNETOMETER FOR DENTAL HYGIENE MONITORING
Tooth brushing monitoring system is disclosed that includes a toothbrush with sensors and a base station. The sensors record data regarding the quality, quantity and location of brushing and the system can analyze the data to provide feedback on the quality of brushing. This feedback provides motivation for users to increase their brushing habits, leading to a decrease in plaque, tooth decay and gingivitis
ORAL CARE AND GROOMING DEVICE
An oral care and grooming device is disclosed. The device comprises a head section and a body. The head section connects either to a detachable oral care head or a detachable grooming head. The detachable grooming head may comprise a trimmer, shaver, or an epilator. The body comprises a power source connected to a microcontroller, a motor, and a communication device. The microcontroller operates the motor and the communication device based on a position of a control switch. The detachable oral care head and the detachable grooming head moves along with a movement of the motor. The communication device may communicate usage details of the oral care and grooming device to a mobile application. The usage details may comprise date or time details, operation time, and an operation pattern of the oral care device and the grooming device. The usage details may also be transmitted to a remote server for further processing and storage.
Cleaning tool for a floor cleaning appliance
A cleaning tool for a floor cleaning appliance is provided, including a main body carrying a cleaning cover which is subject to wear, and including a signal transmitter which provides a wireless signal in dependence upon the degree of wear of the cleaning cover. To be able to detect in a cost-effective manner when a maximum admissible degree of wear of the cleaning cover is reached, the signal transmitter is of rigid construction and fixed to a movable carrying part, the carrying part being held on the main body and being movable from a normal position to an evasive position against a restoring force, the carrying part protruding further from the main body in the normal position than in the evasive position, and the carrying part and/or the signal transmitter contacting the floor surface to be cleaned when a maximum admissible degree of wear of the cleaning cover is reached.
TOOTHBRUSH
A toothbrush comprises a head presenting a brush, a neck, and a body having an outer peripheral surface and presenting a handle. The toothbrush includes one or more brushing sensors and a timer for detecting brushing data, a brushing data storage unit, and a brushing data analyzer. The toothbrush also includes a brushing evaluation display disposed on the outer peripheral surface of the body or on said neck which provides a brush score. The one or more brushing sensors collect the brushing data which is stored in the brushing data storage unit, and the brushing data analyzer calculates the brush score with the brushing data.
All in one dental care device
An apparatus comprising a handle, a toothbrush head and a cover. The handle may comprise a flat surface, a cavity and a first connector. The toothbrush head may comprise a plurality of bristles at a first end and a second connector at a second end. The cover may be configured to expose the cavity when not placed over the cavity and conceal the cavity when the cover is fit over the cavity. The cavity may be configured to store a floss dispenser. The floss dispenser may comprise floss and a cutter. The cavity may enable the floss dispenser to be replaced. The floss dispenser may be exposed on said the surface when the door is opened. The first connector may be configured to be removably attached to the second connector to enable the toothbrush head to connect with the handle.
