Oral Care Device with Sacrificial Electrode
A container, a toothbrush, or a device including at least one sacrificial electrode. In one aspect, the container may include a body adapted to contain an oral care solution and a cap selectively removable from the body. The cap may include a cavity configured to contain a fluid, a first electrode comprising a sacrificial metal, a second electrode spaced from the first electrode, and an electrical connection electrically connecting the first electrode and the second electrode to a power source. Activation of the power source may generate an electric field between the first and second electrodes, thereby causing the sacrificial metal of the first electrode to release ions into the fluid in the cavity of the cap.
Oral care agent dispensing system
An oral care implement for dispensing an oral care agent includes a housing, reservoir therein containing an oral care fluid, and an electrical circuit comprising first and second electrodes connected to an onboard power source. Each electrode is in contact with the oral care fluid in the housing. An actuator, operably coupled to the power source, is configured to both selectively energize the circuit and activate dispensing of the oral care fluid. An electrical charge is applied to the oral care fluid by activating the actuator when dispensing the oral care fluid. When the fluid comprises a peroxide based tooth whitening agent, the dispensed fluid pH is increased by the electrical charge which improves the efficacy of the whitener. In one embodiment, the implement is a modular system including a powered base unit and one or more interchangeable cartridges each having a reservoir containing an oral care fluid.
Oral care device
An oral care device may include: a body including a head; a plurality of teeth cleaning elements extending from the head; a first electrode on the head; a second electrode on the head and spaced apart from the first electrode, wherein at least one of the first and second electrodes is a sacrificial electrode; a power source; and a controller configured to operably couple the power source to the first and second electrodes to create an electric potential between the first and second electrodes so that ions are released from the sacrificial electrode during a brushing session; wherein the controller is configured to change a magnitude of the electric potential the brushing session ends.
COLD TEMPERATURE HAIR BRUSH
A hair brush includes a housing and a cooling device in the housing. A comb is in thermally conductive contact with the cooling device and adapted to be cooled when thermal energy in the form of heat is transferred by the cooling device in a direction away from the comb. The comb has a hair contacting surface. The hair contacting surface comprises one or more teeth adapted to directly engage a user's hair.
ELECTROCHEMICAL DEVICE FOR RELEASING IONS
The present invention relates to an electrochemical device for releasing ions, comprising an electrical circuit comprising a first electrode and a second electrode adapted for providing a galvanic cell when the electrodes are exposed to a fluid constituting an electrolyte, and a boost converter adapted for amplifying a potential generated between the first and the second electrode. The electrical circuit further comprises a third electrode connected with an output side of the boost converter, wherein the second and the third electrode constitutes an electrolytic cell powered by the galvanic cell when the electrodes are exposed to a fluid. The present invention further relates to devices, such as a toothbrush or a shaver, adapted for being used in connection with a fluid, comprising such electrochemical device for releasing ions.
PLASMA TREATMENT DEVICE
A plasma treatment device configured for a treatment within the oral cavity of a living organism using a dielectric barrier plasma, comprising a high-voltage stage (5, 6) arranged in a housing and serving for generating high-voltage signals required for generating the plasma, and comprising an electrode arrangement (10), which is connected to the high-voltage stage and is covered by a dielectric (9) for forming a dielectric barrier plasma, enables various treatments in the oral cavity of the living organism in a simple manner by virtue of the fact that the housing has a handle part (1), to which a head part (2) is secured in a releasable and exchangeable manner by means of a mechanical connection arrangement, in that the handle part (1) contains all stages required for generating the high-voltage signals and a contact arrangement, at which the high-voltage signals are present, in that the head part (2) is embodied in a shape specific to a specific treatment and has a corresponding shaped electrode arrangement (10), which is surrounded completely by the dielectric (9) and has a terminal (14), which makes contact with the contact arrangement of the handle part (1) when the head part (2) is secured to the handle part (1) in a manner effected by means of the mechanical connection arrangement.
COMB WITH A LASER FUNCTION
A comb with a laser function includes a main body, a laser irradiation portion, a vibration portion and a controlling portion. The laser irradiation portion, the vibration portion and the controlling portion are disposed on the main body. The controlling portion is connected to the laser irradiation portion and the vibration portion. The main body includes a brush portion and a handle portion. The brush portion includes a comb tooth portion, and the comb tooth portion includes multiple comb teeth. The laser irradiation portion is adjacent to the comb tooth portion and irradiates a laser beam to a scalp according to the control of the controlling portion. The vibration portion is disposed on the brush portion to generate a vibration according to the control of the controlling portion. The comb with the laser function is capable of irradiating the laser beam to the scalp and massaging the scalp.
Brush with Fluid Delivery
A toothbrush includes a handle, a head at a distal end of the handle comprising a bristle plate, a hole extending through the bristle plate, a plurality of bristles at least partially disposed in the hole and extending from the hole in a direction away from the head, and a reservoir in fluid communication with the hole. Fluid in the reservoir enters the tuft holes and is wicked out of the head of the toothbrushes by capillaries formed between the bristles.
