Another apparatus includes a sensor configured with a plurality of sensor accuracy settings to measure a physical parameter of a circuit in a plurality of operating regions. The plurality of operating regions is based on ranges of the physical parameter measured by the sensor. Each of the plurality of sensor accuracy settings corresponds to one of the plurality of operating regions. A controller is configured to adjust one of the ranges of the physical parameter for one of the plurality of operating regions, in response to a change of an operating condition of the circuit.

An AD conversion apparatus includes an AD conversion unit; a reference voltage switching unit that is disposed between an output of a sensor and an analog input terminal of the AD conversion unit and is connectable to the output of the sensor and a plurality of reference voltage lines; and a control unit to control switching the reference voltage input to the AD conversion unit by connecting the reference voltage switching unit to one of the reference voltage lines and to the output of the sensor. An analog output value of the sensor is input to the analog input terminal of the AD conversion unit via the reference voltage switching unit and is converted into a digital value.

A sensor with a dynamic data range. The sensor generates sensor values at consecutive time points. The sensor is configured in such a way that the data range is subjected, after each time point, to a treatment corresponding to one of the following treatment options performed as a function of the generated sensor values, wherein the treatment options include:increasing the data range if n of the generated sensor values are outside the data range during a first time window,decreasing the data range if m of the generated sensor values are within the data range during a second time window, andotherwise leaving the data range unchanged. A method for automatically adjusting a data range of such a sensor is also described.

Various embodiments related to an electronic device and a method for controlling sensitivity of a sensor on the basis of window attributes are described. According to an embodiment, an electronic device may include: a housing; a window cover housed in the housing, in which an attribute of at least a partial area may be changed via an electrical control on the basis of at least one attribute; at least one sensor disposed below at least the partial area; and at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor is configured to identify control information related to an operation of changing the attribute of at least the partial area on the basis of the at least one attribute, to determine a sensitivity related to the at least one sensor corresponding to the at least one attribute at least on the basis of the control information, and to acquire peripheral information of the exterior of the electronic device by using the at least one sensor, at least on the basis of the determined sensitivity.
