Oral Care Implement

An oral care implement sanitization system that includes an oral care implement and a case for storing the oral care implement and activating a sanitization or sterilization procedure. The oral care implement may include tooth cleaning elements, a light source, and a first electrical coupling element operably coupled to the light source. The case may include a housing having a cavity for holding the oral care implement, a power source, and a second electrical coupling element operably coupled to the power source. When the oral care implement is positioned within the cavity of the housing of the case, the first and second electrical coupling elements are operably coupled together. Operable coupling of the first and second electrical coupling elements initiates, either immediately or upon the occurrence of some additional action, activation of the light source for sanitizing or sterilizing the tooth cleaning elements.

A Handheld Facial Massage and Light Therapy Device. One form of the device is a standard handpiece having a series of interchangeable treatment heads insertible therein. The handpiece has a head receptacle for accepting cooperating treatment heads for twist-locking therein or by other engagement arrangement. The treatment heads may or may not have an internal motor assembly within them to create vibratory motion in the assembled device. The groups of possible treatment heads include LED-light-emitting heads, microcurrent-emitting heads, a treatment head having an abrasive or pebbled surface, as well as a bristle brush head. Other versions of the treatment head may combine the features of the aforementioned heads. In another version, the handpiece and treatment head are integrated and not exchangeable. In this second version, a combination LED-light-emitting outer ring surrounds a central dual-lobe massage surface. The dual-lobe massage surface may be made from an inert material such as silicone, or it may be metallic in order to provide emission of therapeutic microcurrents.

MANUAL ORAL CARE IMPLEMENT

A manual oral care implement comprises a handle, a connector and a head, the head being repeatedly attachable to and detachable from the handle via the connector. The handle has a distal end and a proximal end opposite to the distal end and adjacent to the head when the head is attached to the handle. The proximal end has an upper surface that is at least partially chamfered. The handle has a longitudinal axis and a cross-sectional area extending substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. The chamfered surface and the cross-sectional area define therebetween an angle ? from about 15? to about 30?.

CONNECTOR FOR A MANUAL ORAL CARE IMPLEMENT
20190246780 · 2019-08-15 ·

A connector for repeatedly attaching and detaching a head to and from a handle of a manual oral care implement has an outer surface and a recess. The recess forms a cavity within the connector, wherein the cavity comprises a spring-loaded ball-snap element, the element comprising a ball and a spring, the spring applying a radial force onto the ball in a direction towards the outer surface of the connector.

SONIC VIBRATION TOOTHBRUSH
20190247172 · 2019-08-15 · ·

A sonic vibration toothbrush includes a head extending in an axial direction with a plurality of bristles implanted at an outer circumference thereof in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction; a head arm having an inner space to transmit a sonic wave to the head. A top portion of the head arm where the inner space is narrowed is coupled to the head and a motor accommodating portion that accommodates a motor therein and transmits a sonic wave generated by a rotating force of the motor to the head arm. The toothbrush further includes a handle having a space for accommodating a battery; an input unit provided at the motor accommodating portion in a button form; a display unit provided at the handle; and a control circuit that controls the motor according to input information provided from the input unit.

Short Wavelength Visible Light-Emitting Toothbrush With An Electronic Signal Interlock Control
20190167400 · 2019-06-06 · ·

A toothbrush having one or more light sources with an electronic interlock control device preventing operation of the light source when the toothbrush is removed from the user's mouth. The electronic interlock control over operation is necessary to prevent accidental eye exposure to the high intensity light source with a wavelength in the range of about 400 nm to about 1000 nm. The light-emitting toothbrush activates upon entering the user's mouth but deactivates immediately when removed, thus protecting the user's eyes from direct exposure to the high power light source contained in the brush head.

SYSTEM FOR DIAGNOSING ORAL CARE CONDITIONS AND REMEDIATING SAME, AND METHODS THEREOF

The present disclosure may be directed to a system including a diagnostic device configured to illuminate a portion of the oral cavity and detect information relating to emission fluorescence and/or back scattered light relating to the illuminated portion of the oral cavity. A processor may be configured to receive the information relating to the emission fluorescence and/or back scattered light; determine the oral condition of the oral cavity based on the received information relating to the emission fluorescence and/or back scattered light; determine ingredients that are expected to remedy the oral condition of the oral cavity; and cause identities of the ingredients to be transmitted.
