IRRADIATION DECECTION IN DATA COLLECTION DEVICES
A data collection device includes a housing and a data collection unit located in the housing. A power unit is located in the housing and is operably connected to the data unit to provide power for operation of the data unit. An irradiation sensor is located at the data collection device to detect exposure of the data collection device to irradiation. An irradiation sensor includes a thermal energy absorbing material and a thermal energy sensitive material in thermal communication with the thermal energy absorbing material. The thermal energy sensitive material is characterized by a change in color when exposed to a selected degree of thermal energy due to irradiation.
Network monitoring and control of data logging apparatus
Aspects of the present disclosure provide for an environmental monitoring device including at least one environmental sensor configured to periodically measure at least one property of a surrounding environment. Such environmental monitoring device may be associated with other devices or items, such as medical device assets (e.g., products; installations) that may have multiple parameter monitoring needs associated therewith, and such devices may move, for example, with such assets (e.g., during transportation) to enable continuous monitoring and assessment of the associated assets. The environmental monitoring device may be configured to receive a logging interval and an alarm rang, control the at least one environmental sensor to record the measured property according to the logging interval, generate an alarm signal in response to the measured property being outside of the alarm, and send the record of the at least one measured property and any alarm signals to a remote server.
DELIVERY UNIT AND DELIVERY SYSTEM
The present invention is to issue a quality certificate on which a graphic image representing the quality in chronological order of a cooling environment in a container accommodating articles therein is printed on a recording medium, upon arrival of the articles at a delivery destination. A delivery unit 15 is mounted on a vehicle 21 and is used to deliver the articles accommodated in a storage container 33 filled with a cooling gas. The delivery unit 15 includes a thermometer Se1 that measures a temperature in the storage container 33, a memory unit 53 that memorizes therein data of the measured temperature in chronological order, a quality-data generation unit 55a that generates quality data of articles based on temperature data acquired from the memory unit 53, a print-data editing unit 55h that edits print data relating to a quality certificate including a graphic image representing the quality in chronological order of the cooling environment in the storage container 33 accommodating articles therein during delivery based on a serial number of the article and the quality data, and a printer 27 that prints print data relating to the quality certificate on a recording medium.
Apparatus for sensing environmental pH changes
A sensor comprises: an electrically comprises a switchable polymeric element. The polymeric element has at least a first electrical state and a second electrical state and is switchable between the first and second electrical states as a function of predefined environmental pH changes. The sensor comprises a pH sensitive polymeric matrix and a plurality of conductive particles embedded in the polymeric matrix.
Apparatus for sensing environmental moisture changes
A sensor comprises: an electrically comprises a switchable polymeric element. The polymeric element has at least a first electrical state and a second electrical state and is switchable between the first and second electrical states as a function of predefined environmental changes. The sensor comprises a polymeric matrix and a plurality of conductive particles embedded in the polymeric matrix.
Apparatus for sensing environmental changes
A sensor system comprises: a communications element and a switch configured to enable or disable the communications element. The switch comprises a switchable polymeric element. The polymeric element has at least a first electrical state and a second electrical state and is switchable between the first and second electrical states as a function of predefined environmental changes.
Apparatus for sensing environmental humidity changes
A sensor comprises: an electrically comprises a switchable polymeric element. The polymeric element has at least a first electrical state and a second electrical state and is switchable between the first and second electrical states as a function of predefined environmental changes. The sensor comprises a polymeric matrix and a water soluble electrolyte embedded in the polymeric matrix.
SHIPPING AND LOGISTICS ANALYTICS AND PREDICTION SYSTEM
Systems and techniques may be used for real time monitoring of content of a package. An example technique may include receiving sensor data sent from a first wireless telecommunications transmitter of a sensor device inside a package in transit, located together with content in the package, identifying whether the sensor data indicates that the content in the package was subjected to a condition outside of a specified range and receiving a status request for the package sent from a second wireless telecommunications transmitter of a mobile device based on a scanned machine-readable code on or affixed via a label to an outside face of the package. In response to receiving the status request, the technique may include sending an indication for display on the mobile device.
