Makeup extension wand system
A makeup extension wand system includes a body, including a frame with left and right vertical frame segment, and a stationary axle; and extension wand assemblies, rotatably and detachably mounted to the stationary axle, each including an extension shaft, an applicator tip, and a connector portion that can be rear or front offset, such that each extension wand assembly is rotatable to a vertical folded-in orientation for storage of the extension wand assembly and to a folded-out orientation for use of the extension wand assembly.
TOOTHBRUSHES AND AUDIBLE SIGNAL GENERATING COMPONENTS THEREOF
A toothbrush comprising a drive mechanism and electronic circuitry configured to drive the drive mechanism to execute toothbrushing motions is disclosed. The electronic circuitry comprises a drive circuitry and a controller which is configured to form a drive signal to operate the drive circuitry to generate drive current. The drive signal comprises a plurality of signal packets, wherein a signal packet has a signal packet duration and comprises a train of switching signals. The switching signals are configured to repeatedly switch on and switch off drive current supply to the drive mechanism at a switching frequency f.sub.s. The signal packet duration is configured to define a rhythm of toothbrushing motions.
USER SIGNALING THROUGH A PERSONAL CARE DEVICE
A personal care device that is capable of two-way communication is provided. In some embodiments, the personal care device operates in a first mode and a second mode depending on whether a signal has been received from a networked computing device, thus allowing a single human-machine interface (HMI) device to both control the personal care device and to cause signals to be sent to the networked computing device. In some embodiments, the personal care device is configured to present media streamed from the networked computing device, and/or to stream audio detected by the personal care device to the networked computing device.
Systems, methods, and devices for providing guidance and feedback based on location and performance
Systems, methods, and devices for providing feedback to an individual based on brushing performance, and providing guidance for the individual's brushing, are provided herein. In one exemplary embodiment, after an oral hygiene device is orientated, a determination is made as to a segment within the individual's mouth that a brush head of the oral hygiene device is located. Upon this determination being made, a sub-segment within the individual's mouth where the brush head is located is also determined. A brushing performance within the sub-segment is calculated and displayed to the user. A level of compliance for the particular segment is determined based on the brushing performance of the various sub-segments within the particular segment. If the level of compliance exceeds a pre-set compliance level for that segment, the individual is guided to a different segment within their mouth for brushing.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DIFFERENTIATING PRESSURE
A personal care appliance having a brush head assembly, the brush head assembly including a neck having a first end and a second end, a brush head arranged proximate the first end of the neck. The brush head including a first face fixedly secured to a plurality of bristles, the plurality of bristles arranged to extend from the first face in a first direction, and a second face arranged to create a first frictional force between the second face and an oral environment in a second direction, and create a second frictional force between the second face and the oral environment in a third direction.
Pressure sensing system and method for an electric toothbrush
A pressure feedback system continuously monitors the level of pressure or force on a brush head and is programmed to provide a feedback signal to a user based on the amount of pressure. The pressure level is monitored as a function of the change in the speed of the drive shaft. The system includes a housing, a motor, a drive shaft for attachment to a brush head, a feedback device, a sensor capable of detecting a change in the rotational speed of the drive shaft, and a microprocessor. The microprocessor is programmed activate the feedback device as a function of the measured change in rotational speed. The sensor may be a Hall effect sensor, or another sensor that is responsive to a magnetic field. A magnet may be positioned on the drive shaft, or another portion of the system that moves as a function of the drive shaft.
TOOTHBRUSH SYSTEM
A toothbrush apparatus and system and associated method. The apparatus includes a sensing module that performs at least one of the following: detect at least one time period associated with use of the toothbrush apparatus, detect one or more movements of the toothbrush apparatus, and any combination thereof. The apparatus's one or more processors communicatively coupled to the sensing module determine one or more measurements based on at least one of: the detected time periods, the detected movements, and any combination thereof, and store the determined measurements in one or more memory locations communicatively coupled to the processors. The apparatus also includes one or more feedback modules that receive the stored measurements and encode the measurements into corresponding feedback signals. One or more data transfer modules transmit the feedback signals.
Methods and systems for extracting brushing motion characteristics of a user using an oral hygiene device including at least one accelerometer to provide feedback to a user
Systems and methods for enhancing a user's efficiency while operating an oral hygiene device (10) is provided. In an exemplary embodiment, motion information of an oral hygiene device is received from one or more accelerometers (32) located within the oral hygiene device. The received motion information is compared to a targeted motion of the oral hygiene device. The user operating the oral hygiene device is then provided with feedback in response to determining that the received motion information is within a predefined range of the targeted motion information.
UNIT DOSE ORAL CLEANING DEVICE AND PRODUCT DISPENSING SYSTEM
An oral care product dispensing system includes a container and a plurality of individually packaged items arranged in an organized fashion according to a predetermined treatment plan. At least one of the individually packaged items, or the packages in which it is contained, may be identified with a predetermined time for use. The plurality of individually packaged items may be arranged sequentially according to the predetermined time for use, such as meals, times of day, days, or intervals.
