Instrument panel meter
An instrument panel meter including a flexible face and a pointer. The flexible face includes indicators configured to convey information to a user regarding operation of the vehicle. The pointer is beneath the flexible face, and is movable between an inactive position and an active position. In the inactive position, the pointer does not stretch the flexible face. In the active position, the pointer does stretch the flexible face at or proximate to one of the indicators so as to convey information to the user regarding operation of the vehicle.
STEREOSCOPIC DISPLAY DEVICE AND DASHBOARD USING THE SAME
Provided is a stereoscopic display device, including: a base member transmitting an incident beam; and a three-dimensional effect forming part on a first surface of the base member, wherein the three-dimensional effect forming part has a pattern, the pattern having multiple pattern units arranged in a concentric circular, elliptical or polygonal radial form, each of the pattern units having an inclined surface having an inclination angle with respect to the first surface, and wherein when an incident beam is incident to a central portion of the pattern, the pattern guides the incident beam in a first surface direction toward which the first surface looks or a second surface direction toward which a second surface opposite to the first surface looks, thereby displaying a line-shaped beam having a three-dimensional effect in a first path resulting a pattern arrangement direction.

In the active position, the pointer does stretch the flexible face at or proximate to one of the indicators so as to convey information to the user regarding operation of the vehicle.
Pointing device and meter apparatus provided with the same
A pointing device includes a pointer having light guiding properties, a cap that is attached to the pointer and has light blocking properties, a pointing shaft that is vertically formed on a proximal end portion of the pointer, and a light blocking member. The light blocking member includes a cylindrical main body having both end portions for inserting the pointing shaft and a rotary shaft of a motor having light guiding properties respectively thereinto to prevent illuminating light propagating through the rotary shaft from a light source and entering the pointing shaft from leaking from an outer peripheral surface of the pointing shaft.
INDICATING DEVICE WITH SEE-THROUGH CONFIGURATION AND POINTER FOR THE SAME
A pointer for an indicating device includes a conductor. The conductor includes a front portion, a rear portion, and a receiving portion. The rear portion extends from the front portion. The receiving portion extends from the rear portion. The receiving portion is configured to receive light and to conduct the light through the rear portion toward the front portion. The receiving portion has a cutout dented into the receiving portion.
Stepper pointer
A gauge assembly which has a gauge surface including graphics representing a vehicle operating parameter. A pointer arm is provided which is made out of a light guide or light transmitting material. The pointer arm includes a step portion in an operative portion of the second bottom surface for reducing light received by said second surface adjacent the step portion and providing an overall even light throughout the operative illuminated viewing surface of the pointer arm.
INDICATOR MEMBER, INDICATOR UNIT AND INDICATOR INSTRUMENT
To provide an inexpensive indicator member which can prevent a dark area from being formed at a location above a reflection part, an indicator unit having the indicator member and an indicator instrument having the indicator unit. A hollow reflection part provided to an indicator part of an indicator main body of a light-emitting indicator includes a plurality of partial reflection parts having at least an pointing direction reflection face, a rear end direction reflection face and a corner formed at an intersection of the pointing direction reflection face and the rear end direction reflection face and arranged at a location opposed to the base part. The corners of the respective partial reflection parts adjacent to each other are displaced in a pointing direction or in a rear end direction.

ELECTRONIC ANGLE SENSOR FOR INDICATOR INSTRUMENTS
Indicator instruments (1) have a good readability of a measured value, so that a simple visual checking of the measured value by the user is possible. An electronic angle sensor (17), is integrated into an exiting indicator instruments (1) with a front side (2) viewed indicator (7). The electronic angle sensor (17) includes a sensor unit (39) for the contactless detection of an angular position of the indicator (7). This allows an integration of an existing indicator instrument (1) into a control or regulation circuit for reference to the measured variable and/or the reaching of a preset switching point (30) in the form of a data signal. Good readability of the indicator instrument (1) is not lost and the measuring system is not modified. The angle sensor (17) is mountable on the front side (2) and the sensor unit (39) uses the indicator (7) as a transducer (8).
Strip lighting device
A strip lighting device includes a main body having front and rear sides extending along a length of the main body. The front side is disposed towards a viewer of the device and the rear side includes a light scattering layer for scattering light from a source of illumination towards the viewer when the device is illuminated. The main body has a front and rear cladding layer each of which is made of a first light transmissive material. The strip lighting device includes a light pipe made of a second light transmissive material sandwiched between the front and rear cladding layers at interfaces extending along the length of the main body. A rear interface of the light pipe has a plurality of angled portions which allow some light to escape into the rear cladding layer to impinge on the light scattering layer and scatter light towards the viewer.
