The ingress protection assembly includes a first wall section provided with a receiving slot extending through the first wall section in a lead-through direction and opening at an inlet facing in an assembly direction of the ingress protection assembly; and a second wall section provided with a counter slot extending through the second wall section in the lead-through direction and opening at a counter inlet facing against the assembly direction, wherein at least in a fully assembled state of the ingress protection assembly, the first wall section and the second wall section are at least partially superimposed in a projection along the lead-through direction such that the receiving slot and the counter slot together form an aperture configured for tightly encompassing the wire.
Disaggregation of Gas Load to Determine Meter or Service Under-Sizing
Techniques determine if a gas service (e.g., piping and/or meter) is undersized for the customer's needs. In one example, flowrate information corresponding to gas usage at a service site over a first period of time is obtained. The flowrate information is disaggregated to determine an expected flowrate associated with each of two or more appliances having generally fixed-rates of gas consumption. Flowrate information is again obtained, corresponding to a second period of time. The second flowrate information is compared to one or more combinations (i.e., summations) of the expected flowrates associated with each of the two or more appliances. Based on the comparison, it may be determined that the service site is not appropriately sized. In an example, failure to detect two fixed-rate of gas-consumption appliances operating at their respective fixed-rates at the same time may indicate that the service cannot provide gas at a sufficient flowrate.

Utility meter for use with distributed generation device
An integrated metering device allows a resource provider to control the output of a distributed generation device onto a resource distribution network or grid. The integrated metering device may include a communications module, a metrology module, an inverter and regulator device, and a transfer switch. A resource provider may communicate with the integrated metering device via the communications module and may control the inverter and regulator device or the transfer switch. The metrology module may monitor the energy provided by the distributed generation device to the grid and may send information about the generated energy to the resource provider via the communications module.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRACKING WATER USAGE BY CATEGORY
A system is provided for tracking, in a distributed water infrastructure, water usage by category. The system may comprise at least one processor configured to receive from at least one sensor associated with the distributed water infrastructure signals indicative of water usage in the distributed water infrastructure. The system may, based on the signals indicative of water usage, construct a plurality of profiles. The system may assign each profile to one of a plurality of water usage categories. The system may collect, from the at least one sensor, signals indicative of water usage for substantially all water delivered through the distributed water infrastructure in a time period. The system may construct a plurality of water usage profiles in the aggregate, encompassing substantially all water delivered through the distributed water infrastructure in the time period. The system may assign each constructed water usage profile to one of the plurality of water usage categories. The system may output, for display, water usage for the time period for each of the plurality of water usage categories.

Methods, systems, apparatuses and devices for optimizing utility consumption associated with at least one premises
A system for optimizing utility consumption associated with a premises is provided. The system may include a communication device, a processing device and a storage device. Further, the communication device may be configured for receiving utility consumption information, receiving premises information, receiving lifestyle information, and performing at least one of transmitting a utility recommendation associated with the premises to an electronic device and transmitting an actuation data to an appliance associated with the premises. Further, the processing device may be configured for analyzing each of the utility consumption information, the premises information and the lifestyle information and generating at least one of a utility recommendation and the actuation data based on the analyzing. Further, the storage device may be configured for storing each of the utility consumption information, the premises information, the lifestyle information and at least one of the utility recommendation and the actuation data.
Water utility meter with smart reconnect function
A water utility meter arranged to register the volume of water delivered to a consumption site through a distribution network and connect or disconnect the consumption site from the utility distribution network is disclosed. The water utility meter comprises: a flow sensor arranged to measure a flow rate and/or a volume of water delivered to the consumption site; a valve for connecting and disconnecting the consumption site from the distribution network; an actuator for opening and closing the valve; and a controller unit arranged to control the actuator. The controller unit is configured to connect the consumption site to the distribution network by operating the actuator to open the valve. After opening the valve the controller unit analyses flow rate and/or volume measurements from the flow sensor to determine if a reference profile is violated. If the reference profile is violated the controller unit will disconnect the consumption site from the distribution network by closing the valve.
System and Method for Monitoring Power Consumption of an Appliance
A method for monitoring power consumption of an appliance within a space is provided. The method includes obtaining a first set of data indicative of power consumption of the appliance during an interval of time and determining a profile indicative of power consumption of the appliance based, at least in part, on the first set of data. The method includes obtaining a second set of data indicative of power consumption of the appliance subsequent to obtaining the first set of data. The method includes determining whether power consumption of the appliance deviates from the profile based, at least in part, on the second set of data. Furthermore, in response to determining power consumption of the appliance deviates from the profile, the method includes providing a notification indicative of power consumption of the appliance deviating from the profile.
