APPARATUS FOR HEATING SMOKABLE MATERIAL
An apparatus arranged to heat smokable material to volatilize at least one component of the smokable material. The apparatus includes a housing, the housing having a first opening at a first end through which a consumable article containing smokable material can be removably inserted into the apparatus; at least one heater arrangement arranged within the housing for heating smokable material within the consumable article when in use and a hollow chamber between the first opening and the at least one heater arrangement. The hollow chamber surrounds at least a portion of the consumable article when the consumable article is inserted into the device and an inner wall of the chamber and the at least a portion of the consumable article define an air gap there between. Hot vapors that escape the consumable article in use can condense on the inner wall of the hollow chamber.

VAPORIZER IMPROVEMENTS
Systems, methods and apparatuses for vaporizing all or substantially all plant matter, liquid and/or other material to be vaporized are disclosed. Embodiments of the invention comprise a vaporization chamber sealed except for at least two conduits, heating element, a first conduit coupled to a source of fully or almost fully oxygenated gas, a heating element capable of heating the vaporization chamber to a temperature above a combustion temperature, a second conduit configured to transport vaporization gases and vaporized elements out of the vaporization chamber and at least one valve positioned in the second conduit preventing the flow of atmospheric air into the vaporization chamber. In some instances, the first gas substantially clears the vaporization chamber of atmospheric air prior to reaching combustion temperature. A second gas containing oxygen may be intermixed with the vaporization gases and vaporized elements proximal to the combustion chamber.

Stone holding downstem end
The stone holding downstem end is a modification to a standard downstem end to enable it to hold a porous stone. A standard downstem end is a full circle and only allows the stone to be heated from above. By subtracting material from the receiving end of the downstem we create a new downstem end that is not receptive to a standard bowl anymore, but is instead specially modified to hold a porous stone. With the modification the user can heat the stone from the side rather from just above. This increases the potential for material to be vaporized and less chance for the material to melt through.

Water conditioned smoking device
A water conditioned smoking device such as a bong, hookah or the like comprises a source of pressurized air that communicates with a sparger placed in a conditioning water retention chamber of the device such that the pressurized gas enters the chamber below the level of water to be used in the conditioning bath and thereby aerates the bath and smoke. The improved device produces superior smoke conditioning.

Self-cleaning water pipe
The present invention is directed to a self-cleaning water pipe including a secondary pipe that directs a stream of filtered water to the top of the main pipe. The stream of water is introduced to the main pipe proximate or adjacent to the mouthpiece in a lateral direction so as to cover the entire inner surface of the main pipe with a water membrane. The water membrane presents a barrier to smoke residue and particulates from being deposited on the inner surface of the main pipe. A tertiary pipe may also introduce a stream of water to a downstem pipe so as to create a similar water membrane in the downstem pipe.
