Flowmeter having a leak prevention arrangement from a gap between the outer case and the inner case

A flowmeter having a seal structure for preventing an inner case structure from becoming complicated and making it possible to easily assemble an inner case with an outer case even if an inflow port has a large diameter. A seal member including a pair of sheet members each having a circular opening provided in a central part and a protruding ring formed along the outer peripheral edge of the opening in a protruding shape that projects outward is inserted between the inner peripheral surface of a body case of an outer case and the outer peripheral surface of an inner case. The protruding rings of the seal member are pressed by the inner peripheral surface of the body case of the outer case, seal the space between the outer case body part and the inner case, and prevent the leakage of fluid flowing through a flowmeter.

A water heater including an inflow terminal for connecting a tankless water heater to a cold water supply and an outflow terminal for connecting the tankless water heater to a tap. A fluid channel proves a fluid connection from the inflow terminal to the outflow terminal. A heat element arrangement is arranged at or within at least a section of the fluid channel for transferring heat to fluid present within the fluid channel. An electronic controller is configured to control a heating power provided to the heat element arrangement. A flow sensor is arranged at or within the fluid channel downstream the heat element arrangement. The electronic controller is further configured to detect the presence of air bubbles within the fluid channel based on a change of a flow signal provided by the flow sensor and to adapt the heating power provided to the heat element arrangement in reaction to the determination of air bubbles.

Liquid flow sensor with adjustable operational range

A flow meter has a meter wheel housing connectable in-line in a liquid conduit such that liquid flows through the meter wheel housing from an input port to an output port. Liquid flowing from the input port to the output port rotates a meter wheel mounted in the housing, and a wheel sensor measures rotational speed of the meter wheel. A first jet member defining a first orifice with a first cross-sectional area is movable into a jet operating position between the upstream end of the liquid conduit and the input port such that liquid passes through the input port into the meter wheel housing only through the first orifice. A second jet member defining a second orifice with a second cross-sectional area is movable into the jet operating position. The second cross-sectional area is less than the first cross-sectional area.
