MAGNETIC-INDUCTIVE FLOW METER AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A MAGNETIC-INDUCTIVE FLOW METER
A magnetic-inductive flow meter includes: a housing; a first and a second measurement electrode in galvanic contact with a flowing medium in a pipe; a magnetic field-generating device positioned in the housing and including a measurement circuit configured to determine a first measurement variable, and wherein measurement values of the first measurement variable are measured between two measurement electrodes or at a measurement electrode in relation to a reference potential; and an evaluation circuit configured to determine a Reynolds number and/or a kinematic viscosity value of the medium using measurement values of the first measurement variable and of a second measurement variable, which differs from the first measurement variable, wherein the measurement electrodes are positioned such that, during a test measurement, quotients of current measurement values of the first and of the second measurement variable correspond bijectively with the Reynolds number of the medium in the pipe.
Flow detection device, cooling arrangement for an electronic device, and rack hosting a plurality of electronic devices
A flow detection device comprises a fluidic input port connected to a fluidic output port via a channel and a float located within the channel. A specific weight of the float exceeds a specific weight of a fluid injected in the flow detection device. Respective locations of the fluidic input port, of the channel and of the fluidic output port on the flow detection device cause the float to rise within the channel when a sufficient flow of the fluid is injected in the flow detection device. A sensor is provided to detect a position of the float within the channel. The flow detection device may be integrated in a cooling circuit having a cooling device for an electronic device to detect an eventual lack of a flow of a cooling fluid in the cooling circuit. A status of the flow of the cooling fluid is reported to a processor.

MAGNETICALLY-INDUCTIVE FLOW METER
The disclosure relates to a magnetically inductive flow meter for insertion into a pipeline and for determining a flow-rate-dependent measurement variable induced in the medium, comprising: a housing, a front body being arranged on an end face of the housing, which front body seals the end face of the housing; a measurement electrode arrangement for forming galvanic contact with the medium and for tapping an induced voltage in the flowing medium; a field system for generating a magnetic field that passes through the end face of the housing, the field system being arranged in the housing, the field system comprising a coil arrangement, the coil arrangement comprising a coil arrangement carrier for winding a coil wire, and the coil arrangement carrier and the front body being monolithic.
METHOD FOR MONITORING A MEASURING DEVICE SYSTEM
The method comprises producing a measurement signal (s1) having a signal parameter, followed with a temporal change (Δx1/Δt; Δx1′/Δt) of a primary measured variable (x1) and a temporal change (Δy1/Δt) of a disturbing variable (Δ1), and producing a measurement signal (s2) having a signal parameter, followed by a temporal change (Δx2/Δt; Δx2′/Δt) of a primary measured variable (x2). The method comprises ascertaining measured values (X.sub.I) of first type representing the primary measured variable (x1) or a secondary measured variable (f(x1) Δx1′) of measured values (X.sub.II) of second type representing the primary measured variable (x2) or a secondary measured variable (f(x2) Δx2′). The method comprises using measured values (X.sub.I) of first type and measured values (X.sub.II) of second type for ascertaining an error characterizing number (Err) representing a velocity error (ΔX.sub.I/ΔX.sub.II) caused by a change of the disturbing variable (y1).
