11747182 · 2023-09-05 · ·

A device measures the flow rate of a fluid, such as concrete, in a pumping plant connected to a drilling machine provided with a drilling tool. The pumping plant includes a motor pump and a connection pipe to lead fluid from the motor pump to the drilling tool. The device includes a transmitting module, for rigidly and removably mounted on the pumping plant and including an accelerometer and a receiving module, associated with the drilling machine. The transmitting module detects accelerations generated by vibrations of the pumping plant during the pumping of the fluid. The accelerations indicate flow rate of the fluid. The transmitting module wirelessly sends a signal, which is processed based on the detected accelerations, to the receiving module. The receiving module receives the signal from the transmitting module and sends a signal indicating the flow rate of the pumped fluid based on the received signal.

Acoustic fluids monitoring

A temperature state of one or more fluids in one or more enclosures is determined. Acoustic data is collected using a microphone. Frequency domain features are determined based on the acoustic data, where the frequency domain features are obtained across a frequency range of the acoustic data. The frequency domain features are correlated to the output of a machine learning acoustic analysis model and the one or more fluids are classified based on temperature based on the correlated one or more frequency domain features. In addition, the machine learning acoustic analysis model is trained by recording acoustic training data using a microphone and collecting temperature data for a fluid across a range of temperatures for the fluid. Frequency domain features are determined across a frequency range of the acoustic training data and the frequency domain features are correlated to the temperature data for a fluid.

PERISTALTIC PUMP

A peristaltic pump includes a plunger-cam follower, a tube receiver, a spring-biased plunger, a spring, a position sensor, and a processor. The plunger-cam follower engages the plunger cam to follow the plunger cam and to disengage from the plunger cam. The spring-biased plunger is coupled to the plunger-cam follower and the spring biases the spring-biased plunger toward the tube receiver. The position sensor determines a position of the spring-biased plunger when the plunger-cam follower is disengaged from the plunger came. The processor estimates fluid flow utilizing at least the position of the spring-biased plunger as indicated by the position sensor when the plunger-cam follower is disengaged from the plunger cam and the spring biases the spring-biased plunger against the tube.

Method and system to measure gas flow

A system for measuring gas flow generally including a passive acoustic wave generator disposed in a gas flow stream to passively generate an audio signal through vortex shedding, a sound capturing instrument disposed outside the gas stream to produce an electrical signal representative of the acoustic signal, a temperature sensor to obtain temperature measurements indicative of the temperature of the gas flow stream and a control system for determining the gas flow, such as velocity or flow rate, as a function of the acquired acoustic and temperature measurements. The acoustic wave generator includes a corrugated flow channel whose geometric design is so tuned to generate an acoustic emission whose frequency signature varies as a function of the gas flow velocity.
