The invention is directed to a personal care system (100) configured to allow an addition of a sensor functionality to the system (100). The system (100) comprises a data reader (102) for receiving a code (200), and a programmable controller (104). The system (100) is configured for triggering a software reconfiguration of a software associated with at least one hardware component (106) of the system (100) based on the code (200) received by the data reader (102). The programmable controller (104) is configured for changing a control of the hardware component (106) of the system (100) based on the triggered software reconfiguration. The change of the control of the hardware component (106) of the system (100) causes an addition of a sensor functionality to the hardware component (106) of the system (100).

The invention relates to an interdental cleaner comprising a rod-like support which has a cleaning part in an axial end region, which cleaning part is provided with a coating on its external surface in a coating region. The coating region comprises merely one portion of the external surface of the cleaning part and extends preferably between two adjacent rows of cleaning elements held on the cleaning part. A transfer element is provided for applying the coating, which transfer element is provided on the outside with a coating agent and, in order to form the coating, is subsequently brought into contact with the external surface of the cleaning part.

Disclosed is an oral cleaning kit, including an interdental brush, an oral viewer, a container, and a holder. The container includes an upper cover and a base. Oral cleaning appliances such as the interdental brush, the oral viewer, toothpaste and a toothbrush may be disposed in the container. The base includes a fixed clamping ring and a storage tank. A flosser cartridge including a body having a peripheral wall with first and second ends, and a longitudinal axis extending therebetween. A cleaning tip extends longitudinally outwardly from the body's first end and a groove or a ridge is provided on an exterior surface of the peripheral wall. An interdental cleaning device includes a handle. A cleaning head assembly is mounted on the handle. The cleaning head assembly includes a head that is mounted on the handle, the head defining a cavity. An interdental cleaning member is mounted on the head to extend into the cavity, the interdental cleaning member including an interdental cleaning element. A plunger is mounted on the head, the plunger being reciprocally displaceable relative to the head between an operative position in which the plunger is at least partially retracted into the cavity and an inoperative position in which the plunger extends from the cavity. A spring mechanism is interposed between the plunger and the head so that the movement of the plunger into the operative position is against a bias of the spring mechanism. The plunger defines a longitudinally extending passage that is dimensioned to accommodate the cleaning element. The interdental cleaning member is positioned so that the interdental cleaning element extends from a distal opening of the longitudinal passage when the plunger is in the operative position and is positioned within the plunger when the plunger is in the inoperative position.

A device comprises an interdental brush, a delivery component, and a lighting system. The interdental brush is disposed at a first end of the device and includes a working part and a connector. The delivery component includes a guide head and a sliding mechanism that is mechanically connected to the guide head. The guide head includes a bended tube within which the working part of the interdental brush is positioned. An outlet of the bended tube is disposed at an end of the guide head. The sliding mechanism includes a sliding block and an interdental brush connecting mechanism that mechanically connects the interdental brush to the sliding block. The lighting system includes a switch and a light source. The light source is disposed at the first end of the device and is electrically coupled to the switch through the guide head that houses the interdental brush.

An apparatus for dental irrigation may be provided to project fluid onto the surfaces of, and the interproximal spaces between, a user's teeth and gum-line. The apparatus may comprise two hollow U-shaped manifolds having orifices located on their interior faces used as fluid jets. The manifolds may be connected, at a central point of reflection, by a rotating inlet joint which supplies the fluid flow. When placed in the user's mouth, the apparatus may be designed to receive the top and bottom sets of teeth in each corresponding U-shaped manifold, with orifices configured to provide fluid jets aligned towards the lingual and buccal side of the teeth. The orifices may be staggered to provide staggered fluid flow. A user's teeth may be cleaned with a controlled fluid flow by moving the apparatus in a sweeping motion between each set of rear molars.

According to an exemplary embodiment, a foolproof periodontal sulcus brush and intrasulcular medicament applicator, having one or two heads, for use in a variety of humans and animals, and its method of use, may be shown and described. The foolproof periodontal sulcus brush and intrasulcular medicament applicator can have offset heads and bristle areas, and include multiple curves of a neck portion—to provide improved access and cleaning ability, and may be separable or combined with toothbrush and/or other oral care brush elements or components, including a motorized or manual handle.

Flossers are designed to simplify flossing with braces including facilitating the insertion of floss into and the maneuvering of the floss within the embrasure spaces. The flossers can include an inner prong and an outer prong between which a length of floss extends. The outer prong can be configured to insert between the teeth and the wire of the braces while the inner prong is positioned inside the teeth. While positioned between the wire and the teeth, the outer prong can be maneuvered to thereby floss the embrasure spaces.
