Multi-variable yield monitor and methods for the same
A dynamic yield monitor system includes a plurality of instruments to measure harvested crop characteristics while a crop is in-flow within a harvester elevator. The system includes a volume instrument that measures a harvested crop volume from the in-flow harvested crop within the harvester elevator, and a weight instrument that measures a harvested crop weight from the in-flow harvested crop within the harvester elevator. Optionally, the system includes other instruments including a moisture and temperature instrument. A receiver and processing node communicates with the instrument. The receiver and processing determines variable harvested crop test weight based on at least the measured harvested crop volume and measured harvested crop weight of the in-flow crop. The receiver and processing node further determines a variable yield of the harvested crop based on the measured harvested crop volume, the measured harvested crop weight, and the variable harvested crop test weight.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TESTING PACKAGED FOODSTUFFS FOR THE PRESENCE OF MICROORGANISMS
A device and method for testing foodstuffs for the presence of microorganisms including an infeed unit for a package containing a foodstuff, a sample analysis device configured to take a sample of the foodstuff and test for the presence of microorganisms, a discharge unit for discharging the package, and a display for displaying the results of testing by the sample analysis device.
Cold planer yield measurement system
A yield measurement system for a cold planer having a conveyor is disclosed. The yield measurement system may include a hydraulic motor configured to propel the conveyor, a first sensor configured to generate a first signal indicative of a force acting on the conveyor by material being moved by the conveyor, and a second sensor configured to generate a second signal indicative of a pressure differential across the hydraulic motor. The yield measurement system may also include a controller in communication with the first and second sensors. The controller may be configured to determine when the conveyor is not transferring material based on the second signal, and automatically recalibrate the yield measurement system based on the first signal when the conveyor is not transferring material.
Measuring arrangement
A measuring arrangement having a first dual conductor field device with a first sensor and a first dual conductor interface for the power supply of the first dual conductor field device and for the transmission of data from the dual conductor field device to a superordinate unit, wherein the first dual conductor field device has at least one second dual conductor interface suitably designed to receive data from at least one second dual conductor field device.
PRODUCTION FLOW-RATE MEASUREMENT OPTIONS FOR FOOD PROCESS LINES
A transfer conveyor for food process lines has an endless conveyor belt characterized by an upper, food-product carrying run and a lower, return run. The upper, food-product carrying run defines a transit plane. The upper, food-product carrying run also extends between an intake end and a discharge end. The upper, food-product carrying run furthermore has a first pleat below the transit plane proximate the intake end and a second spaced-away pleat below the transit plane proximate the discharge end. These spaced-away pleats partitioning the upper, food-product carrying run into an intake-end span and a discharge-end span cooperatively flanking a mid-span. Wherein the transfer conveyor additionally includes one scale servicing the intake-end span of the upper, food-product carrying run and another scale servicing the discharge-end span.
Material feeding apparatus and method
A material feeding apparatus and method for providing a controlled feed of material. In particular, there is described a material feeding control apparatus and method comprising a feed rate measurement device capable of providing an online mass and/or volume flow measurement of material and a material sensing device capable of providing an online content (e.g. composition) measurement of the material. The material being fed may, for example, be any suitable bulk material including fuel for a combustion chamber (e.g. a furnace), mined materials such as iron ore and food in a food feeding system. A particular example of the present invention is the provision of a fuel feeding apparatus capable of providing substantially stable combustion in a combustion chamber (e.g. a furnace) which may be incorporated into a cement production line.
