Animal consumable dental hygienic device, comprising: body with an exterior surface and an interior cavity, and sized to be bitten by animal Exterior surface defines projections. Each recess has dental-hygienically active dimensions allowing a tooth to penetrate therein such that material surrounding the recess frictionally engages an outer surface of the tooth and scrapes the tooth to remove dental plaque. Projections are positioned, dimensioned, shaped and structured to be dental-hygienically active when the animal bites the body, allowing the tooth of the animal to be adjacent to at least one projection when the animal bites the body, such that a projection frictionally engages at least one of the outer surface of the tooth and gums of the animal during biting of the body by the animal.

Described herein is an electronic dual-head teeth cleaning appliance that facilitates simultaneous front and rear surface cleaning of individual teeth. The teeth cleaning appliance is rechargeable, portable, lightweight, and electronic. In particular, the appliance is equipped with an ergonomic axially rotating handle, speed settings, and may have rubber bristles on the brush heads for massaging the gums during teeth cleaning. The bristles may have side-to-side or rotational action.

The present invention recognizes that there exists a long felt need to address dental hygiene in pets. A first aspect of the present invention generally relates to a chew toy for pet dental hygiene. A second aspect of the present invention generally relates to a method of promoting pet dental hygiene.

A dental hygiene apparatus having an imitation character body having an open end and terminating in a closed end, the imitation character body having a main body portion, the open end being configured to receive a human finger. The imitation character body also having: a top appendage extending from a top surface of the imitation character body; a plurality of forward appendages extending from opposing sides of the imitation character body; a platform being formed about a bottom surface of the imitation character body, the platform being provided proximal the closed end of the imitation character body; and a plurality of bristles extending from a surface of the platform.

The housing has a head adjacent to the distal end. The housing has a plurality of tufts of bristles extending at right angles from the head. A toothpaste cartridge is provided within the handle. The handle has an intermediate component operatively coupled to the cartridge below. The intermediate component is operatively coupled to the head above. The head has a plurality of holes adjacent to the tufts. The intermediate component has a plurality tubes. The tubes operatively couple the cartridge and the holes. At least one valve is provided between the cartridge and the holes. In this manner the backlog of toothpaste is abated.

A pet teeth cleaning assembly includes a glove configured to be positioned on a person's hand. The glove includes five finger sleeves, a hand portion and a wrist sleeve. Each of the finger sleeves has perimeter wall extending upwardly from the hand portion and a distal end with respect to the hand portion. A plurality of bristles is provided. Each of a plurality of the finger sleeves has the bristles integrally coupled thereto. Tooth cleaning material is positionable on the bristles and rubbed against teeth of a dog to clean the teeth.

A method of cleaning a pet's teeth comprising providing an edible pet chew to the pet and allowing the pet to chew the pet chew, wherein the edible pet chew has a first major side and an opposite second major side separated by a shelf. The pet chew additionally includes a plurality of walls extending from the shelf on each of the first and second major sides, with the walls defining a plurality of pockets on each of the first and second major sides. The walls of the pockets of the pet chew are configured to scrape the surface of pet's teeth while chewing in order to clean the pet's teeth and to fit between the teeth to floss the teeth.

An electric toothbrush for pets includes: a head part including at least one electrode that receives a driving signal and generates an electric field corresponding to the driving signal, and a toothbrush head on which the at least one electrode is disposed; bristles coupled to the toothbrush head and including at least one opening that exposes a portion of the at least one electrode; a handle part connected to the head part and formed in a shape that may be held by a user; and a signal supply module provided in the handle part and configured to generate the driving signal by mixing an AC signal and a DC signal to supply the driving signal to the at least one electrode.

A pet chew toy allowing for the self-cleaning of teeth by domestic pets. The pet toy includes one or more cavities into which a pet's teeth may engage, and the inner and outer surfaces of the cavities may have scrubbing elements designed to enhance removal of plaque and other unhygienic products from a pet's teeth and gums. The chew toy may further include projections to enhance stabilization of the chew toy by the pet, and a reservoir and dispensing system for pet toothpaste or similar additive.

A chew treat for an animal comprising a first major side and an opposite second major side. The first and second major sides of the chew treat are separated by a shelf. The chew treat additionally includes a plurality of walls extending from the shelf on each of the first and second major sides, with the walls defining a plurality of pockets on each of the first and second major sides. The chew treat is designed to improve animal wellness due to its unique features, which are configured to deter gulping, floss and clean teeth, and provide a high surface area to volume ratio so as to aid in solubilizing and digesting the chew treat.
