The camera module is used to obtain reading image information. The microcontroller unit transmits the received pointer rotation times information and the reading image information to a communication module of another monitoring device of water meter and/or a server via the communication module. The monitoring device of water meter of the present invention has functions of pointer rotational detection and number display wheel image capturing, degree of water consumption is further calculated by means of the above two functions which are complementary to each other.

A magnetic-inductive flowmeter and a method for operating the flowmeter are disclosed. The flowmeter has a measuring tube, a magnetic field generator, and a controller with first and second measuring terminals. A medium is made to flow through the measuring tube. The controller performs the following steps: generating and feeding an emission signal and receiving a receive signal caused by the emission signal at the first measuring terminal and second measuring terminal; determining an impedance with an impedance amount and an impedance phase using the emission signal and the receive signal; and signaling a short circuit if the impedance amount is smaller than a first limit impedance amount and the impedance phase is larger than a limit impedance phase.

A flow transmitter method and system involves obtaining, via a flow sensor, sensor measurements of flow characteristics of a moving medium; outputting, via a processor, a drive signal for driving a pulse output circuit to generate a pulse signal according to the sensor measurements from the sensor; and generating, via a switching circuit of a pulse output circuit, a pulse signal according to the drive signal. The method and system further involve monitoring, via a diagnostic circuit connected to the switching circuit, current corresponding to the pulse signal; and determining, via the processor, whether the output circuit is operating in a normal or abnormal state based on the drive signal from the processor and a feedback signal corresponding to the monitored current from the diagnostic circuit.

The present invention is a flow rate sensor device (1) including a sensor element (3, 4) that detects a flow rate, wherein a sensor unit (10) on which the sensor element (3, 4) is mounted and a drive substrate (11) including a drive control circuit are connected through a connection portion (12) narrower than a width of the drive substrate (11). Thus, a heat source in the drive substrate (11) and a heat source in the sensor unit (10) can be separated by the connection portion (12) that is thin in width, and the thermal influence from the drive substrate (11) to the sensor unit (10) can be suppressed. Therefore, good sensor responsiveness can be maintained.
