This invention is intended to address the American obesity crisis by combing three of China's treasured art forms, calligraphy, brush painting and tai chi, into an easy to use exercise implement. The sword brush utilizes the whole body moving as one to stimulate healing energy, or Qi. This energy in turn spurs creativity so that beautiful works of art can be generated. The Tai Chi Sword Brush in the invention can serve simultaneous purposes of practicing the ancient martial art of Tai Chi, cultivating Qi, exercising the body, mind, and spirit, as well as creative expression through calligraphy and painting. The present invention discloses a sword brush in the size and shape of a Tai Chi sword, including a hand grip blade. The sword brush can be used as a non-lethal weapon in martial arts practice or as a brush to apply ink or paint to paper in an artistic medium.

An artists' brush storage and protection device includes a storage unit having a plurality of storage compartments, each of the storage compartments including a cover with a paint well below the cover, the paint well defined in part by upstanding walls, an exterior one of the upstanding walls defining a recess with a resilient sealing member disposed therein. Each of the covers may be opened permitting access to the paint well or closed against the upstanding walls of the paint well and the sealing member. The storage unit may further include drawer slides and a palette slidable on the drawer slides relative to the storage unit to reveal or conceal the palette. When bristles of a paint brush are placed in the paint well, its handle rests upon the resilient sealing member which compresses around the handle when the cover is closed to provide a substantially air-tight seal.

A tip reinforcing system that is configured to allow a user to adjust a rigidity attribute of the marking tip of a instrument, the tip reinforcing system including: a tip core cavity that is a hollow portion within a marking tip that extends axially through the marking tip, a tip reinforcing core configured to be movable within the tip core cavity in order to change the internal structure of the marking tip, and a core moving mechanism configured to be operated by a user to move the tip reinforcing core relative to the housing body of the instrument in order to adjust the level of exposure of the tip reinforcing core within the marking tip.

An art production tool system for applying, manipulating, or removing paint, charcoal, and other art media includes a handle and a plurality of attachments which are interchangeably mountable to the handle. The attachments include at least one blender attachment comprising chamois leather or similar material for blending and removing charcoal and like applications. The attachments also include brushes and may include other tools for manipulating paint, dyes, charcoal, and the like.

A system of equipment for creating artworks using a robot artist having a robotic arm. The system generally includes a gripper removably installed in the robotic arm, a magnetic brush clamp supporting a painting brush, and a brush stand with multiple compartments. The gripper includes a first magnetic material, and the magnetic brush clamp has a second magnetic material selected to removably attract to the first magnetic material of the gripper so as to removably attach the magnetic brush clamp with the painting brush to the gripper. Each compartment of the brush stand is sized and configured to removably receive the magnetic brush clamp with the painting brush therein. Relative positions and inclination angles between the gripper, the magnetic brush clamp and the brush stand are calibrated for optimal painting conditions for the robot artist.
