FLUID METER
A fluid flow meter with configuration of flow generation and flow sensor is intended for measuring a flow rate of working fluid (a gas or a liquid) passing through an inner cavity. The meter is a compact measuring apparatus of a small size, resistant to disturbances and distortions in the structure of the measured fluid flow. The fluid flow meter with configuration of flow generation and flow sensor is comprised of the following components: a housing (1) having an inner chamber (2) and a depression (3) configured to generate the flow; a flow sensor (4) arranged inside the housing (1) of the gas meter for measuring the flow velocity of the fluid; an adapter (5) to adjust different diameters of flow sensors and an outlet of the meter; a flow preparation device (6) intended for dissipating and stabilizing the flow of the fluid; an inlet (7) of the flow of the measured fluid; an outlet (8) for fluid flow out of the meter; an electronics unit (9); a coarse filter (10); a shut-off valve (11); a fluid leak detection sensor (12).
Method for Monitoring and Control of a Wastewater Process Stream
The invention is directed towards methods, compositions, and apparatus for accurately detecting the presence and amounts of contaminants in wastewater. The method comprises the steps of adding to a volume of wastewater at least one tracer molecule, observing the tracer for indications of particular contaminants, conducting at least one second form of contamination detection, and interrelating the two measured properties to identify the specific composition of the contamination. Using a tracer molecule allows for the detection of otherwise hard to detect oils and grease. Use of the second method however compensates for tracer interfering contaminants and allows for more accurate readings. The invention includes feeding of functional chemicals in response to the detections and conducting the detections online and continuously.
AGEING AND DUST DETECTION IN A METER
An ageing and dust detection system, comprising: a data collection unit configured to collect a plurality of parameters of a gas meter; and a processing unit, configured to: receive the plurality of the parameters of the gas meter; calculate a numerical value of the plurality of the parameters; compare the calculated numerical value of the plurality of the parameters with a corresponding predefined higher range of values and a predefined lower range of values for the plurality of parameters; determine a reason of a fault in the gas meter based on the compared values, wherein the reason of the fault in the gas meter is at least one of, a presence of a dust, an ageing of the gas meter, or a combination thereof.
Method and Apparatus for Processing and Analyzing Particles Extracted from Tangential Filtering
A filter arrangement with a top element and a bottom element and a filter element therebetween captures oversized particles on the upper surface of the filter element and tangentially rinses these particles using an elution fluid to provide a concentration of particles in a relatively low volume of fluid for further analysis. A configuration using a slider valve may also be utilized. Additionally, an arrangement of supply and receiving containers may be used to minimize the number of containers required. A mass flow meter may be incorporated to measure the flow of elution fluid. Finally, a wash stage of the filtering process may be used to introduce stain onto the particles for further analysis, such as that associated with Gram staining and these stained particles may be further analyzed.
