Expandable table
The expandable table comprises a base or pedestal that rests on the floor or other support surface, a frame supported by the pedestal, and a tabletop. The tabletop comprises a plurality of main table sections that join at a common center to form a small table and a plurality of expansion leaves that can be inserted between the main table sections as needed to create a table with larger surface area. Pivot member connect the outer section of the expansion leaf to the frame so as to rotate about a pivot axis between the deployed position and the storage position and a lift guide attached to an expansion rail of the frame. Lift guides attached to the frame guide the inner section of the expansion leaf along an inclined path between the storage position and the deployed position when the outer section is rotated about a pivot axis. In some embodiments, a removable stopper prevents the main table sections from sliding off the end of the main rails. The stopper can be removed to allow installation and/or replacement of a wedge-shaped segment.
VEHICLE CENTRE CONSOLE TABLE SYSTEM
A vehicle centre console table system includes: a table; an actuation system configured to, based on an electrical signal, elevate the table from a first position to a second position above the first position, wherein in the first position the table is in a substantially horizontal orientation and defines a vehicle centre console surface, and wherein in the elevated second position the table is in the substantially horizontal orientation; a slider configured to enable horizontal sliding of the table from the second position to an aft position rearward of the second position; and a pivot proximal to a fore end of the table, configured to enable turning of the table along a horizontal arc, in clockwise and anti-clockwise directions, between a first operating angle to a first side y of the aft position and a second operating angle to a second opposite side +y of the aft position.
Expandable folding table with removable insert panel assembly
The present subject matter discloses a removable panel assembly for an expandable folding table. The removable panel assembly includes a movable panel and a frame that is retractable. The expandable frame also includes a fixed frame connected with a pivot device and a movable frame. The movable panel is foldable and can be horizontally arranged between two panels of the folding tables when it is in use. Furthermore, the movable panel can be stored under the fixed frame when it is collapsed. With the removable panel assembly, the table can be both foldable and extendable without structural interference. In addition, while being easy to operate, the removable panel assembly further enhances the functions and appearance of the table.
MECHANISM FOR AN EXTENSION LEAF
A mechanism for an extension leaf of an extension table. The mechanism comprises a frame defining a first formation configured for engagement by an end of a first axle of the extension leaf and second formation configured for engagement by an end of a second axle of the extension leaf. The first formation mounts the end of the first axle for rotation about a first axis that is parallel to a hinge axis of the extension leaf, and constrains the first axle against translation in a plane perpendicular to the first axis. In the illustrated embodiment, the first formation is simply an aperture in the frame. The second formation defines an elongate path along the frame, supports the end of the second axle for rotation about a second axis, and guides the second axle along the elongate path from end to end during reconfiguration of the extension leaf between its extended configuration and its collapsed configuration as shown. A force transfer component is hingedly connected to the frame about a third axis and defines an abutment surface extending across the elongate path for engagement by the end of the second axle during the movement of the second axle toward end of the elongate path. Rotation of the lever arm in a first direction about the third axis causes the abutment surface to move toward end of the path and rotation of the lever arm in an opposite, second direction about the third axis causes the abutment surface to move toward end of the path. A damper is connected to the force transfer component to damp force applied to it when it is engaged by the end of the second axle during the movement of the second axle toward end of the elongate path.
Sliding desk
A stowable sliding desk has a fixed portion and a moveable portion that is coupled to the fixed portion. The moveable portion is slidable with respect to the fixed portion and expandable in a direction perpendicular to the length of the fixed portion. The moveable portion has a fixed leaf and a hinged leaf coupled thereto that either overlays the fixed leaf or is abutting and coplanar to the fixed leaf. A hidden leaf is slidable to extend the useable area of the moveable portion when the hinged leaf is coplanar to the fixed leaf.
