One embodiment of a fuel tank assembly includes a fuel sending unit having a float with a small thickness, which heretofore has been too thin to secure a stand-alone magnet thereon. The float may be manufactured in a complex shape or in a small size. In one embodiment the float may be manufactured of a material having magnetized particles interspersed throughout the float such that the float does not require a stand alone magnet secured thereon. The float may be manufactured of a material having a foaming agent added thereto so as to provide a finished product with air filled voids positioned throughout the float to increase the buoyancy of the finished float product.

Redundant level measuring system

A redundant level measuring system comprises comprising a chamber for fluidic coupling to a process vessel whereby material level in the vessel equalizes with material level in the chamber. A float including a magnet in the chamber interior space rises and falls with material level in the chamber. The float comprises an inner cylindrical wall defining an elongate through opening. A magnet actuated visual indicator is mounted to the chamber for indicating level of the magnet in the chamber. A level measurement instrument includes a measurement circuit and a coaxial probe having an inner rod and a coaxial outer tube. The probe defines a transmission line and the coaxial outer tube has a through opening so that material level in the chamber equalizes with material level in the coaxial outer tube. The instrument is mounted atop the chamber with the probe directed downwardly to the chamber interior space and extending through the float through opening. The measurement circuit generates and receives a frequency signal on the transmission line, the measurement circuit measuring level of the material in the coaxial outer tube.

DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR MEASURING FLUID LEVEL USING RADIO-FREQUENCY (RF) LOCALIZATION
20220252444 · 2022-08-11 · ·

Disclosed herein are devices, systems, and methods for accurately determining fluid level using Ultra Wideband (UWB) positioning or localization. UWB utilizes a radio-frequency (RF) technology to enable the accurate measurement of the time-of-flight of a radio signal and UWB positioning can operate in Time-Difference-of-Arrival (TDoA) mode, Two-Way-Ranging (TWR) mode, and Phase-Difference-of-Arrival (PDoA) mode. The systems disclosed herein include multiple anchor devices having a UWB antenna(s) and positioned in fixed location(s) over the fluid to be measured. The anchor devices serve as reference points for UWB communication with a remote float device, which emits RF signals and floats on the surface of the fluid to be measured. The anchor devices may include, or be in communication with, a processor which receives and/or measures RF signals, generates timestamps, calculates distance(s) between the remote float device and an anchor device, calculates fluid level, calculates an angle-of-arrival (AoA), or any combination thereof.

Oil quantity measurement apparatus and method

An apparatus and method of determining the level of a liquid in a reservoir having curved surfaces is described, where the measuring device comprises a support having a radius of curvature conformable to the curvature of the reservoir. A float assembly is captivated to the support so that it may move freely in the vertical direction, but is constrained in rotation with respect to the support by compatible asymmetrical structural features. The float assembly includes an element that can be sensed by a sensor assembly that is positioned along the support over the length of the support encompassing the range of fluid levels to be measured.

Septic tank failure possibility detection and alert system and method
11436913 · 2022-09-06 ·

A septic system level detection system includes a means to detect a fluid level within a septic system that indicates a failure or possible impending failure of a septic system and means to communicate an alert of this indication via electronic messaging media. A digitized record of information related to the identified septic system is stored in a database. Upon receipt of a septic system failure alert, at least a portion of the digitized record of information is transmitted via an electronic communications system network, i.e., a network comprising a telephony network and/or the Internet, to a predesignated address of the network.

ISOLATED INDUSTRIAL FLOAT ASSEMBLY
20220252446 · 2022-08-11 ·

An isolated industrial float assembly is sized to fit interior to an existing gauge pole to signal a fluid level to an observer while preventing or lowering emissions from volatilization of fluids from the gauge pole. The isolated industrial float assembly includes a positively buoyant core manufactured from hydrocarbon resistant foam sealed within a shell. End caps enclose the shell. A vertical member secures the end caps tautly in position by connection with fasteners. Assembly and disassembly of the float assembly is enabled to replace parts as needed. The buoyancy of the core is sufficient to cause the float assembly to maintain position at the fluid-atmosphere interface, even in embodiments where the shell is fabricated of stainless steel.

INTELLIGENT PESTICIDE TANK ASSEMBLY AND PLANT PROTECTION MACHINERY
20220087245 · 2022-03-24 ·

Disclosed are an intelligent pesticide tank assembly and a plant protection machinery. The intelligent pesticide tank assembly includes a cover body and a measuring assembly, wherein the measuring assembly can be arranged to be extended into a pesticide tank body, and the cover body is arranged to be capable of being connected to the pesticide tank body and to enable the measuring assembly to be pressed and fixed onto the pesticide tank body. When the intelligent pesticide tank assembly is disassembled, the measuring assembly can be axially inserted or pulled out, and is then pressed and fixed by using the cover body, so that the measuring assembly is prevented from rotating together with the cover body when the cover body is tightened, and the disassembly of various components can thus be easily completed.
