METHOD FOR CALIBRATING A DISPLAY OF A FILLING LEVEL
A method for adaptive calibration of a fuel level indicator of a filling level of a liquid in a tank accompanying operations. A filling level of the liquid is detected with a sensor arrangement. A sensor signal of the arrangement is provided during a movement of the vehicle. In case that the course of the sensor signal is obtained in a respective defined time interval in which the sensor signal is provided several times, a constant value is assumed, an end stop is detected. The respective time intervals at which the end stops were detected and the respective associated constant values are stored. A minimum number of end stop is defined for the tank, and in the case that the minimum number of end stops is reached, a calibration phase is carried out.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FUEL LEVEL ESTIMATION
Methods and systems are provided for estimating fuel levels in a fuel tank. In one example, a method may comprise adjusting estimates of a fuel level in a fuel tank based on an amount of fuel added to the fuel tank during a refueling event. The amount of fuel added to the fuel tank may be provided by a vehicle operator via one or more of a dashboard user interface, a wireless device user interface, and a digital camera included within a user device.
Ink supply device and inkjet recording device
In accordance with an embodiment, an ink supply device comprises an ink storage section, a float and a floating position detection device. The ink storage section is connected with an inkjet head, and stores ink to be supplied to the inkjet head. The float is arranged in the ink storage section in a floatable manner in response to a height of a liquid surface of the ink. The floating position detection device comprises a detection target arranged on the float, and a target detection section which is arranged in the ink storage section and detects that the detection target approaches. The target detection section is arranged on a wall substantially orthogonal to an axial direction of a rotating shaft of the ink storage section. An inkjet recording device of the embodiment comprises an inkjet head configured to jet ink to an image receiving medium, and the ink supply device.
Systems and methods for fuel level indicator functional diagnostics
A method for a fuel system comprises receiving a first indication of inconsistency in a fuel level indicator output during a fuel consumption cycle, receiving a second indication of inconsistency in a fuel level indicator output during a refueling event, and indicating electrical degradation of the fuel level indicator responsive to the first and second indications of inconsistency indicating coincident ranges of inconsistency for the fuel level indicator output. By gauging the consistency of a fuel level indicator output during both upward and downward travel, electrical degradation may be distinguished from mechanical degradation. In this way, a range of inconsistency may be determined, and a reported fuel level adjusted while the fuel level indicator output is within the range of inconsistency.
LIQUID LEVEL SENSOR WITH LINEAR OUTPUT
A liquid level sensor that provides digital signal processing for transforming a magnetic field into a continuous linear output signal that corresponds to the level of liquid within a vessel that is being monitored. The invention uses 3D field sensors for decompensating unwanted interference caused by electric drives or the earth's magnetic field or other magnetic fields caused wires or magnets. The sensor can also be combined with 3D accelerometer to optimize compensation of unwanted interference. The accelerometer always provides the center of the earth so that an angle of deflection of the liquid versus the horizontal can be determined and correct any faulty measured value of the liquid level. The invention is highly robust yet is low cost to manufacture.
FOAM DETECTION TECHNIQUE-ALGORITHM FOR STEAM BOILERS USING LWCO DEVICE
A low water cutoff (LWCO) device having a probe features a signal processor or processing module configured to receive signaling containing information about a difference in conductance between samples of a foam/unstable fluid line for a predetermined foam difference count that are measured on at least one test channel and sensed by the probe arranged inside a boiler, including a steam or hot water boiler or burner; and provide corresponding signaling containing information to turn OFF the boiler, based upon the signaling received.
