20240295427 · 2024-09-05 ·

A weighing device includes at least one weight preparation table and a weighing pan functionally connected to a load cell. Where the at least one weight preparation table and the weighing pan are displaceable, plurality in a linear translational displacement, relative to each other in a purely linear translational displacement along at least a horizontal axis and a vertical axis. The at least one weight preparation table is positionable in at least two different positions relative to the weighing pan in the horizontal displacement, including a first position where the at least one weight preparation table is laterally offset from a center of the weighing pan in a vertical view, and a second position where the at least one weight preparation table overlaps the center of the weighing pan in the vertical view. The weighing pan and the at least one preparation table are enclosed within a weighing chamber of the weighing device, where the weighing device restricts any motion of the at least one weight preparation table, and of the weighing pan to within the weighing chamber. Further disclosed are a system comprising the weighing device and a method for weight determination.

BALANCE HAVING A HOUSING WHICH CAN BE EVACUATED

A balance (10) includes an evacuable housing (12) having a bottom (121), side walls (122), and a top (123), and a weighing device (14) arranged in the housing (12) having a load carrier (142), a weighing system (141) and a weighing sensor. The weighing system (141) has a base fixed to the housing and a load receptor connected to the load carrier (142), which load receptor is coupled to the base in a vertically movable manner via a link arrangement articulated to the base on the one hand and is coupled to the weighing sensor fixed to the base in a force-transmitting manner via a lever arrangement on the other hand. A vertical post (124) protrudes from the center of the bottom (121) of the housing (12), wherein the base of the weighing system (141) is fixed on a free end of the post (124).

A balance includes a central portion and a lever pivotably coupled to the central portion about a fulcrum centered along a length of the lever. The lever has opposing distal ends thereof. A display of the balance is positioned on a front surface of the central portion. The display is configured to change between a greater-than sign, an equals sign, and a less-than sign in correlation with different orientations of the lever such that the display is operable to show a symbolic relationship between respective loads positioned at the respective opposing distal ends of the lever.
