PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
A system for identifying a product removed from a cabinet includes detecting visual characteristics of the product removed from the cabinet by a camera within the cabinet. The system may include detecting an identifier on the product removed from the cabinet by an identifier sensor, and comparing the visual characteristics and the identifier to a database of product information. The product removed from the cabinet may be identified based on the comparison of the visual characteristics and the identifier to the database of product information.
System and method for measuring infant weight
An infant sleep device may include a platform for supporting an infant, a base upon which the platform is supported, and one or more weight sensors positioned to measure weight of an infant positioned on the platform.

Weight sensing energy attenuator
Method and apparatus are provided for a vehicle seat weight detection system utilizing a metal deformation type energy attenuating device disposed in a load path between a seat and a vehicle structure. The energy attenuating device includes a weight sensing portion with a first end connected to one of the seat or vehicle structure, and a second end configured to transfer the seat weight load to a deformable portion of the energy attenuating device connected to the other of the seat and vehicle structure. An aperture in the weight sensing portion between the first and second ends divides a region adjacent the aperture into first and second sides. A slot intersecting the aperture and lying on a plane generally perpendicular to the load path divides the second side into upper and lower halves. A sensor on a surface of the first side of the weight sensing portion is configured to detect strain variations in the surface and produce a calibrated weight signal.

Payload measurement system for machine with hauling body
A payload measurement system can be used to measure the payload added to a machine supported on a plurality of walking beams. A plurality of load cell sensors is mounted to the walking beams in locations where, when the walking beam bends, the sensors are placed under load. The load cell sensors include a symmetrical strain bar having first and second mounting ends connected by a connecting span, wherein the end thickness is greater than the span thickness of the connecting span. The connecting span is disposed between and spaced apart from an upper plane and a lower plane with which the surfaces of the mounting ends are aligned.
WEIGHING DEVICE AND METHOD
A weighing device of the electronic bathroom scale type, includes four feet, each fitted with a load cell, each load cell including two resistors combined in a Wheatstone bridge type of assembly to define a first axis of symmetry and a second axis of symmetry, the assembly further including at least one auxiliary circuit configured to selectively short-circuit two resistors belonging to the same foot or to two neighboring feet in the bathroom scale, the first auxiliary circuit being symmetrical relative to the first axis or the second axis, the assembly being controlled by an electronic control unit to estimate a weight and to estimate an offset of a user on the bathroom scale.
LOAD CELL ASSEMBLY FOR A TOWING VEHICLE
A cast load cell comprising a load sensing portion integrally cast with a first mounting portion. The load sensing portion has a flexure portion spaced apart from the first mounting portion by a flexure gap. The load sensing portion has at least one sensor cavity above at least a portion of the flexure gap. A second mounting portion is integrally cast with the load sensing portion above the flexure gap. A load sensor is connected to the load sensor portion and positioned within the sensor cavity above a portion of the flexure gap. The first mounting portion, the load sensing portion, and the second mounting portion define an integral, low-profile, weld-free, substantially homogenous unitary cast member.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING OUTPUT SIGNAL OF ANALOG-TO-DIGITAL CONVERTER
According to an aspect of the inventive concept, there is provided an apparatus for processing an output signal of an analog-digital converter, includes: a first frequency conversion unit for converting a frequency of the output signal of the analog-digital converter so that a band where spurious components exist moves to a band where direct current components exist in the output signal of the analog-digital converter; a spurious component blocking unit for eliminating, from an output signal of the first frequency conversion unit, spurious components which have moved to the band where direct current components exist; and a second frequency conversion unit for restoring a frequency of an output signal of the spurious component blocking unit to the original frequency of the output signal of the analog-digital converter.
Collapsible and portable weight measuring device
A weight measuring device includes a top layer including a plurality of first flats and at least one bi-stable spring band. The plurality of first flats are connected to each other via the at least one bi-stable spring band. The weight measuring device further includes a bottom layer including a plurality second flats connected the plurality of first flats. The weight measuring device further includes at least one force sensor interposed between the top layer and the bottom layer. The weight measuring device further includes a processor configured to determine a weight of an object placed on the top layer or the bottom layer based on signals generated from the at least one force sensor.
