Apparatus for gravity emptying bottles containing frozen blood product comprising a unit for monitoring emptying and emptying method
Disclosed is an apparatus for emptying bottles containing frozen blood product. The apparatus comprises an automatic unit for checking the weight of emptied bottles. The automatic unit comprises a load detection system for measuring the weight of emptied bottles, an air pressure measuring unit for measuring the pressure in the room in which the emptying apparatus is located, and a measurement compensation unit for correcting the load value on the basis of the room pressure measurement. The weight-checking unit generates a not empty signal if the value of the corrected load is greater than or equal to a predetermined value.
Monitoring system and method
The present disclosure relates to an abatement apparatus monitoring system. The abatement apparatus monitoring system includes a processor; and at least one load cell for outputting a load cell signal to the processor. The at least one load cell is configured to support a waste tank of an abatement apparatus. The processor is configured to monitor a level of a liquid in the waste tank in dependence on the load cell signal. The present disclosure also relates to an abatement system comprising an abatement apparatus monitoring system; and a method of monitoring operation of an abatement system.

Refrigerant charging using weight and flow rate measurements
An air condition service machine for charging an air conditioner with refrigerant in a fast-charge mode, the fast-charge mode controlled based upon the changing weight rate of a refrigerant tank providing the supply of refrigerant to the air conditioner. The embodiment may also include a compensation mode to provide greater accuracy of the charge after completion of the fast-charge mode. The rate of refrigerant flow is monitored and an end time as opposed to weight target ends the charge.

WEIGHING BALANCE HAVING A MOUNTING UNIT FOR CARRYING ACCESSORIES
A balance (10) has a mounting unit (30) movably connected to a first side (35) of a rear wall (25) of a weighing chamber. The mounting unit is above a top wall (23) of the weighing chamber. An elongate slot (40) extends from the first side through a second side (36) and receives the mounting unit and the top wall. The elongate slot guides the mounting unit and the top wall in a direction normal to a base body (11) of the balance. A position control unit (50), on the second side, has lower and upper carriages (52, 54). The upper carriage is connected to the mounting unit and the lower carriage is connected to the top wall. A stopper (64) limits the lower carriage at a predetermined position away from the base body, while allowing the upper carriage to advance therebeyond, separating the mounting unit from the top wall.

Apparatus for metering a substance
An apparatus for metering a substance into a target container includes a gripping tool, with which a metering tool can be picked up and released, and a scales. The metering tool is configured as an adhesive body which is wetted by a substance so that a small amount of substance measurable by the scales remains adhering to the metering tool. Once the desired amount of substance has been picked up with the metering tool, the latter, including the substance adhering thereto, is released into the target container. A controller controls the scales and the gripping tool and decides whether the amount of substance picked up by the metering tool is usable or whether more substance should be picked up or whether the metering tool should be discarded and somewhat less substance picked up with a fresh metering tool.
