System for tracking lifting events at a construction site
11511972 · 2022-11-29 · ·

One variation for a system for tracking lifting events at a construction site includes: a chassis configured to couple to a crane block of a crane at a construction site. The system further includes a first idler assembly including a first cable idler, a first idler arm, and a first position sensor coupled to the first idler arm. The first idler arm supports the first cable idler on a first side of the chassis and biases the first cable idler inwardly toward a first cable loop coupled to the crane block. Additionally, the system includes a controller configured to, during a lift event: read a first position value from the first position sensor; predict a weight of the load carried by the crane block based on the first position value; and generate a lift event record containing the weight of the load carried by the crane block.

Suspension member load sensor

A suspension member load sensor configured for use with a suspension member in an elevator system is provided. The suspension member load sensor includes a housing bounded by an upper cover plate and a lower cover plate. The upper cover plate and the lower cover plates are configured to receive a rod extending therethrough. The lower cover plate is configured to seat adjacent a mounting plate. A strain gauge is disposed within the housing and configured to produce an electrical signal commensurate with a load on the suspension member. A plurality of spaced apart projections extend outwardly from a lower surface of the lower cover plate. The projections are configured to define a location for the introduction of force into the load sensor.

A system for splitting a fluid includes a source support configured to support a source container of a fluid flow circuit and at least one satellite support, with each satellite support configured to support a different satellite container fluidly connected to the source container. A weight scale is associated with each of the supports. The system also includes a clamp system and a controller. The controller is configured to control each weight scale to measure a combined weight of the container and the contents of the container supported by the support associated with the weight scale. The controller is configured to control the clamp system to selectively allow and prevent fluid flow from the source container to each satellite container based at least in part upon the weights measured by each weight scale. Fluid flow continues until the contents of each container have reached a target volume.

GROW TOWER WEIGHT MEASUREMENT WITH SHARED LOAD CELL
20220221328 · 2022-07-14 · ·

An arrangement and method are provided for weighing plant support structures that are travel along a conveyance line. A load bar includes connections to couple the load bar to a carrier, which is moveable along the conveyance line. The load bar receives ends of plant support structure hooks, and exerts a lateral force on the hooks as the load bar travels. A load cell includes a leading portion that is lower in height than a weighing portion of the load cell. Each hook raises as it travels onto the load cell. The relationship of the height of the weighing portion and the length of the hook end are arranged such that, as the hook end is raised, it remains engaged with the load bar so that the load bar continues to exert a lateral force on the hook as the load bar moves in the direction of travel.

Person lift systems

A person lift system includes a lift unit, a sling bar that is coupled to the lift unit, where the sling bar includes a plurality of attachment points each having coupling sensors and an electronic control unit that is communicatively coupled to the coupling sensors. The person lift system also includes a lifting accessory having a plurality of lifting points that are adapted to be selectively coupled to the plurality of attachment points of the sling bar. The electronic control unit comprises a processor and a computer readable and executable instruction set which, when executed by the processor detects with the coupling sensors whether the lifting accessory is installed in a proper manner and projects an indication when the lifting accessory is installed in the proper manner.
