Automatic cooking assistance device and method to provide cooking instructions
A cooking assistance device is for weighing a kitchen appliance or food container and then calculating a weight of food contained by the kitchen appliance or container based on a known dry weight. The food weight is provided to cooking aid device (which may be an integral part of the assistance device or it may be a remote device) for providing cooking instructions to a user. The device is thus able to coordinate the use of multiple kitchen appliances or utensils for example when a recipe is being followed by a user, with user instructions, information or advice being provided.
Beverage preparation system
A weigh scale unit may be used in conjunction with a beverage preparation machine to prepare beverages efficiently. The weigh scale unit may provide the status of ingredient addition to a beverage receptacle. The weigh scale unit may send instructions and/or data to the beverage preparation machine. In some embodiments, the beverage preparation machine sends instructions and/or data to the weigh scale unit.

System and Method for Maintaining Recipe Ratios when Measuring Ingredients for Culinary Combinations
A system and method for assisting a user in assembling a culinary combination according to a recipe. The system comprises a scale and a computing device configured to communicate with the scale. The system displays information regarding ingredients of the recipe and displays a progress of assembling the culinary combination based on the information from the scale. In some embodiments, a bar graph is displayed with a bar proportional to the measured amount of an ingredient of the recipe compared to a target amount for the ingredient. In some embodiments, the system displays a build column of one or more recipe blocks, representing actions or ingredients of the recipe. An active recipe block is displayed with a portion of the recipe block displayed in a different manner in proportion to the measured amount of an ingredient of the recipe compared to a target amount for the ingredient.

SENSING AND CONTROL DEVICE AND METHOD FOR A WEIGHT MEASUREMENT DEVICE
The present invention relates to a sensing and control device (40) and method for a weight measurement device (30) comprising a load unit for loading material to be weighted. To enable precise measurement with less expensive components, said sensing and control device comprises analog circuitry (50) configured to receive a weight measurement signal, convert the received weight measurement signal into a first voltage signal, subtract a second voltage signal representing the weight of at least the load unit without being loaded with material to be weighted from the first voltage signal when the load unit is loaded with material to be weighted to generate a third voltage signal representing the weight of the material to be weighted, and control circuitry (60) configured to receive the first voltage signal while the load unit is not loaded with material to be weighted, convert the first voltage signal into a first digital signal, and generate a pulse width modulated, PWM, signal having a pulse width representing the weight measured by the load unit while not being loaded with material to be weighted, and further configured to convert the third voltage signal into a second digital signal representing the weight measurement of the material to be weighted. The analog circuitry (50) is configured to generate the second voltage signal from the PWM signal generated by the control circuitry, wherein the voltage level of the second voltage signal is proportional to the pulse width of the PWM signal.
FISH LOGGING DEVICE AND DATA SYSTEM
The embodiments disclose a fish logging device configured to gather data on a fish caught by a user using a digital tape measure, a digital weight scale and a digital memory device coupled to the fish logging device apparatus, a safety fish lip gripper with serrated gripping jaws and a safety fish lip gripper finger grip activator coupled to the fish logging device apparatus for securing a fish to the fish logging device apparatus, a one touch selfie button coupled to the fish logging device to activate a user smart phone to take a photo of the fish caught, a fish logging device application installed on a user smart phone to download gathered data from the fish logging device apparatus digital memory device and upload and download the gathered data with a fish logging device server cloud and a fish logging device server cloud for gathering data about fishing including data on a fish caught by a user and configured to interactively upload and download data with the fish logging device application installed on a user smart phone.
WEIGHING DEVICE FOR AN ESPRESSO COFFEE MACHINE AND AN ESPRESSO COFFEE MACHINE INCORPORATING SUCH A DEVICE
A weighing device (11) is incorporated into an espresso coffee machine (10). The weighing device (11) is located in a drip tray (12) of the espresso coffee machine (10) under a group (13) thereof. The weighing device (11) has a display (not shown) for indicating the weight of a shot as it is being delivered and the elapsed time from the start of delivery. A start extraction button (not shown) on a pressure adjusting handle (24) mounted on the group (13) is connected to the weighing device (11). In use, movement of the pressure adjusting handle (24) initiates delivery of a shot from the group (13), which movement also activates the weighing device (11) in one mode of operation. Thus, a barista can use the weighing device to calibrate the perfect shot using the weight and time measurements displayed thereon.
