The user interface is in electrical communication with the one or more weight measuring devices for providing information concerning a weight of one or more items loaded onto the platform.

When executed by the one or more processors, the machine readable instructions cause the smart luggage system to determine a location of a user, determine a location of the luggage bag based on an output signal from the one or more GPS units, and actuate the one or more wheel actuators to move the luggage bag based on the location of the user and the location of the luggage bag.

The processor is programmed to receive signals from the weight sensors and determines a weight positioned on the panel. A transmitter is mounted in the panel and is electrically coupled to the processor. The transmitter is configured to wirelessly transmit the weight to a receiver.
