11103160 · 2021-08-31 · ·

A method includes generating, via a camera, image data that is reproducible as an image of at least a portion of a subject. The method also includes receiving, via a sensor, first biomeasurement data associated with the subject, the first biomeasurement data including a first biomeasurement of the subject. The method also includes verifying the first biomeasurement of the subject based at least in part on a comparison between at least a portion of the image data and at least a portion of the first biomeasurement data.

BARCODE READER WITH OFF-PLATTER DETECTION
20210190578 · 2021-06-24 ·

A barcode reader has a weigh platter and an off-platter detection assembly. The weigh platter is configured to measure a weight of an object and has a surface extending in a first transverse plane, a proximal edge, a first lateral edge extending non-parallel to the proximal edge, and a distal edge. The off-platter detection assembly includes a light emission assembly and a light detection assembly. The light emission assembly is configured to emit a collimated light beam along the first lateral edge, above the surface. The light diffusing barrier is positioned in a path of the collimated light beam and is configured to diffuse the light beam such that the light diffusing barrier appears to be illuminated when contacted by the light beam and appears not to be illuminated when not contacted by the light beam.

Electronic measurement apparatus

An electronic measurement apparatus includes a measurement device and a display device. The measurement device is configured to measure an object's weight and to generate a measurement signal. The display device is detachably assembled with the measurement device. Moreover, the display device can receive the measurement signal by wireless transmission, and the display device can display measurement data according to the measurement signal. Accordingly, the user can place the display device in an easy-to-view location to make it easier for the user to see the measurement data.

Barcode reader with off-platter detection

A barcode reader has a housing, a weigh platter, and an off-platter detection assembly including an imaging assembly in communication with a controller. The imaging assembly has an imager configured to capture an image of first and second lateral edges of the weigh platter and having a field-of-view extending over an upper surface of the weigh platter. The controller is configured to: identify and locate the first and second lateral edges based upon a training image; receive the image from the imager; allow the measured weight to be recorded if determined that a footprint of an object positioned on the weigh platter does not extend over the first and second lateral edges based on the image; and prevent the measured weight from being recorded and/or providing and alert to a user if determined that the footprint of the object does extend over the first and/or second lateral edges.

A jack assembly includes a body. The jack assembly also includes a lifting piston positioned at least partially above the body and configured to move up and down with respect to the body. The jack assembly also includes a lock collar positioned at least partially around the lifting piston. The lock collar is configured to move up and down with respect to the lifting piston in response to rotating the lock collar with respect to the lifting piston. The jack assembly also includes a load cell positioned at least partially around the lifting piston and between the body and the lock collar. The jack assembly is configured to support an object, which exerts a downward force onto the lifting piston. The downward force is transferred from the lifting piston to the lock collar to the load cell to the body. The load cell measures the downward force.
