LEAN BLOWOUT PRECURSOR DETECTION FOR GAS TURBINES

A method for detecting blowout precursors in at least one gas turbine combustor comprising: receiving combustion dynamics acoustic data measured by an acoustic measuring device associated with the combustor in real time; performing wavelet analysis on the acoustic data using simplified Mexican Hat wavelet transform analysis; and determining the existence of a blowout precursor based at least in part on the wavelet analysis. Provided also is a system and a non-transitory computer readable medium configured to perform the method.

INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM

An information processing apparatus that estimates a hit feeling of a golf ball, includes a characteristic amount obtainment unit configured to obtain a characteristic amount of a striking sound which an estimation target ball generates as a sound source upon the estimation target ball being struck and an estimation unit configured to estimate a hit feeling of the estimation target ball based on correlation information and the characteristic amount obtained by the characteristic amount obtainment unit. The correlation information indicates correlation, for a plurality of kinds of test balls, between a hit feeling which a testing golfer feels at the time of striking a test ball and a characteristic amount of a striking sound which the test ball generates as a sound source upon the test ball being struck.

Sound inspection system and sound inspection method

A sound inspection system that can reduce power consumption is provided. A sound inspection system 1 that determines a state based on a sound of an inspection target object 2 includes a sound sensor device 10 that collects the sound of the inspection target object 2, analyzes the collected sound, and transmits an analysis result, and a sound data determination device 30 that determines a state of the inspection target object based on the analysis result from the sound sensor device. The sound sensor device transmits, as the analysis result, intensities of the collected sound for each predetermined frequency set in advance.

A system for monitoring sound comprising a primary circuit portion and a secondary circuit portion. The primary circuit portion is adapted to alternate between a first state of operation and a second state of operation. In the first state, the primary circuit portion is adapted to monitor sound. The primary circuit portion is adapted to periodically enter the first state with a predetermined frequency. The secondary circuit portion is adapted to monitor sound while the primary circuit portion is in the second state and provide an indication of the sound monitored to the primary circuit portion. The system is adapted to dynamically adjust the frequency with which the primary circuit portion enters the first state based on the indication.

A machine maintenance action can be detected at a location using acoustic analysis of the machine to detect a probable maintenance action. Acoustic data is received at a computer from a plurality of microphones at a location. The acoustic data is analyzed with respect to a database of specifications for the machine, and the analysis of the acoustic data includes correlating the acoustic data to the specifications of the machine stored in the database. A first measured parameter for the machine is determined as outside a first specification of the machine, and indicates a first measurement variation from the first specification of the machine. The first measurement variation is assessed to determine a reason for the first measurement variation in relation to an identified part. An alert is sent to a device with a recommendation or action regarding the identified part, based on the reason for the first measurement variation.
