SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR A COMPOUND SENSOR SYSTEM
A compound sensor system includes a first sensor, a second sensor, a memory that stores a module, and a processor coupled to the first sensor, the second sensor, and the memory. The first sensor is configured to detect a parameter that indicates a likelihood of having a user enter or leave a target area, and, in response, send a first command signal to the processor. The processor is configured to receive the first command signal from the first sensor and send a second command signal to the second sensor based on receiving the first command signal. The second sensor is configured to operate at a sleep mode and switch to an active mode upon receiving the second command signal, and during the active mode the second sensor is configured to determine if the user enters or leaves the target area.

A multi-function controller, comprising a control element, a support element, at least a first light emitter and at least a first light receiver. A multi-function controller, comprising a control element, at least a first magnet and at least a first sensor. In some aspects, one or more occluders is provided. In some aspects, a control element is rotatable and/or tiltable, and/or the control element can be pushed or pulled, and movement of the control element is detected optically or by Hall effect sensors. In some aspects, an icon cap is not rotatable. A method comprising rotating and/or tilting a control element on a multi-function controller, and detecting a position of the control element.
CONTROLLING TRANSITIONS IN OPTICALLY SWITCHABLE DEVICES
This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus for controlling transitions in an optically switchable device. In one aspect, a controller for a tintable window may include a processor, an input for receiving output signals from sensors, and instructions for causing the processor to determine a level of tint of the tintable window, and an output for controlling the level of tint in the tintable window. The instructions may include a relationship between the received output signals and the level of tint, with the relationship employing output signals from an exterior photosensor, an interior photosensor, an occupancy sensor, an exterior temperature sensor, and a transmissivity sensor. In some instances, the controller may receive output signals over a network and/or be interfaced with a network, and in some instances, the controller may be a standalone controller that is not interfaced with a network.
ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT SENSOR AND METHOD TO ACHIEVE TARGETED VITAMIN D LEVELS
The computer system and computer-implemented method of generating and providing skin care product recommendations to a subject, wherein the method comprises determining, by a computing device, a UV-B exposure of the subject; determining, by the computing device, a vitamin D intake due to the UV-B exposure; determining, by the computing device, a target vitamin D of the subject; and providing, by the computing device, a skin care product recommendation to the subject when the vitamin D intake due to the UV-B exposure is less than the vitamin D target of the subject.
Ultraviolet sensing apparatus with mirror amplification
Systems, methods, and devices of the various embodiments may enable the detection and localization of power line corona discharges and/or electrical arcs by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) including an ultraviolet (UV) sensor and a reflective parabolic dish. In various embodiments, the UV sensor may use the photoelectric effect to sense narrow-band UV photons in a Geiger-Mueller tube and circuit configuration. In various embodiments, the reflective parabolic dish may be fixed relative to the UV sensor and include a reflective concave surface. The reflective concave surface may be configured to reflect narrow-band UV photons toward the UV sensor.
