Method and apparatus to use a sensor in a body-worn device
A body-worn device comprising a radiation system to determine a raw radiation exposure of a user, and a user characteristic adjustment logic to adjust the raw radiation exposure based on user characteristics is described. The body-worn device in one embodiment further includes a recommendation calculator to determine a recommendation to the user, based on the adjusted radiation exposure.
Eyewear with detection system
Eyewear having monitoring capability, such as for radiation, is disclosed. Radiation, such as ultraviolet (UV) radiation, infrared (IR) radiation or light, can be measured by a detector. The measured radiation can then be used in providing radiation-related information to a user of the eyewear. Advantageously, the user of the eyewear is able to easily monitor their exposure to radiation.
Biometric sensor for detection of wrist blood vessels in a wristwatch or wristband
A biometric sensor for detecting wrist blood vessels in a wristband or wristwatch. The sensor has a substrate and an array of thermal detectors arranged on the substrate. Suitable detectors include near infrared photodetectors or temperature detectors. Advantageously, the array has printed organic components on the substrate.
Methods and Systems for Combination Electrodes for Wearable Devices
Various embodiments provide a wellness tracking device with a base plate that may be utilized as a combination electrode by a variety of sensors. The base plate may be a multi-material electrode that includes a conductor and a transparent or semi-transparent material to enable optical sensing. In certain embodiments, the base plate supports a plurality of different sensors, which may selectively utilize the base plate as an electrode.
Handheld luminometer and front end platform assembly
A handheld luminometer system and assembly are shown and described. In one embodiment, an assembly includes a portable luminometer and a front end platform having a microcontroller circuit to communicate with a host device. Typically, the portable luminometer includes a sample port to accept a test sample holder, a photomultiplier assembly with at least one photomultiplier tube, and a base. The result is a luminometer assembly for use with a single-use test sample holder in communication with a host device.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT MEASURING METHOD THEREFOR
The present invention relates to an electronic device and a method for measuring ultraviolet light by using an electronic device including a camera. The electronic device according to various embodiments of the present invention comprises: a display; an image sensor for acquiring an image by using light including a first wavelength band or a second wavelength band; and a processor, wherein the processor can be set so as to compare a first image acquired using the light of the first wavelength band with a second image acquired using the light of the second wavelength band, acquire, on the basis of the comparison result, information on ultraviolet reflectance for at least a part of at least one subject included in the first image or the second image, and display at least a part of the acquired information on the ultraviolet reflectance by using the display.
