Sensor device and method of producing the same

A sensor device includes a body case provided with an opening, and a body cover assembled to the body case to cover the opening. The body cover has at an outer peripheral portion thereof an overlapping region overlapping a portion of the body case located at a peripheral edge of the opening. The body cover is fixed to the body case by providing a welded portion surrounding the opening using laser-welding at a portion distant from an end surface of the body cover in a boundary of the overlapping region of the body cover and a portion of the body case overlapping the overlapping region.

A light sensor assembly includes a sensor connector having a housing including a top and a bottom with power contact channels in the bottom of the housing. The sensor connector includes a circuit board supported by the housing at the top having a sensor component electrically connected to the circuit board sensing an environmental characteristic exterior of the sensor connector. The sensor connector includes power contacts received in corresponding contact channels and extending from the bottom for electrical connection with receptacle power contacts of the receptacle connector. The power contacts include a neutral power contact, a line power contact and a load power contact, where the line power contact and the load power contact are integral as a unitary contact body forming a monolithic line-load power contact.

Pyranometer

One embodiment provides a pyranometer, including: a dome; a thermopile-based sensor comprising a receiving surface; a diffusor configured to diffuse radiation external to the pyranometer and passing through the dome, toward the receiving surface of thermopile-based sensor; and at least one optical filter arranged in an optical path of the radiation in front of the receiving surface of the thermopile-based sensor so as to modify the spectral composition of the radiation measured by the thermopile-based sensor. An optical sensor module and a packaging method thereof are disclosed, wherein the optical sensor module comprises a substrate having a light sensing element; and a housing made of a transparent material. The housing is connected to the substrate and covers the light sensing element. The housing has a light-receiving area facing the light sensing element, and the inner surface of the housing toward the substrate is provided with a light-shielding coating in a portion outside of the light-receiving area. In this way, optical components such as the light sensor can be effectively protected, and still retain the effect of avoiding noise light interference with the light sensor module.

A sensor arrangement including at least one electro-optical sensor which is secured to a receiving structure of a sensor holder. The electro-optical sensor includes a sensor housing with an optically active sensor layer that is arranged thereon. The optically active sensor layer forms a light-sensitive plane. The sensor holder includes a non-adjustable receiving structure which compensates for a previously determined deviation in shape of the electro-optical sensor from a desired shape.

An electronic apparatus equipped with an eye sensor holding structure that is capable of preventing erroneous detection of an eye sensor without increasing the number of members and of improving an appearance without increasing stray light. An eye sensor that detects an eye-contact state is implemented on a circuit board. A protection window is provided so as to cover a front of the eye sensor and is held in a state where the circuit board is positioned thereto. The protection window is fitted and positioned to an exterior member that has an opening through which the protection window is exposed to external appearance. An elastic member generates energization force for pushing the eye sensor so as to be contact with the protection window and for pushing the protection window so as to be contact with the exterior member.

A semiconductor package that is a proximity sensor includes a light transmitting die, a light receiving die, an ambient light sensor, a cap, and a substrate. The light receiving die and the light transmitting die are coupled to the substrate. The cap is coupled to the substrate forming a first chamber around the light transmitting die and a second chamber around the light receiving die. The cap further includes a recess with contact pads. The ambient light sensor is mounted within the recess of the cap and coupled to the contact pads. The cap includes electrical traces that are coupled to the contact pads within the recess coupling the ambient light sensor to the substrate. By utilizing a cap with a recess containing contact pads, a proximity sensor can be formed in a single semiconductor package all while maintaining a compact size and reducing the manufacturing costs of proximity sensors.

A sensor device includes: a casing provided with an opening; a cover member covering the opening; a gasket interposed between the cover member and the casing; and a fixing cover which fixes both the gasket and the cover member to the casing. A plurality of welded portions bonding the casing and the fixing cover together are provided in a region outside the cover member such that the welded portions are distant from each other.
