Compact light sensor
Provided are methods and systems for concurrent imaging at multiple wavelengths. In one aspect, a hyperspectral/multispectral imaging device includes a lens configured to receive light backscattered by an object, a plurality of photo-sensors, a plurality of bandpass filters covering respective photo-sensors, where each bandpass filter is configured to allow a different respective spectral band to pass through the filter, and a plurality of beam splitters in optical communication with the lens and the photo-sensors, where each beam splitter splits the light received by the lens into a plurality of optical paths, each path configured to direct light to a corresponding photo-sensor through the bandpass filter corresponding to the respective photo-sensor.
SINGLE-USE CLINICAL SPECTROPHOTOMETER
The single-use disposable spectrophotometer described in this disclosure can measure one or more blood chemistry analytes from a drop of whole blood. A passive filtration system takes whole blood and delivers plasma along with a dissolved reporter molecule to one or more spectrophotometers which can operate with narrow band optical spectrum centered on an optical detection frequency. The spectrophotometer detects the changes in absorption of the plasma as a result of a chemistry reaction to determine the concentration or activity of one or more analytes.
PORTABLE OPTICAL SPECTROSCOPY DEVICE FOR ANALYZING GAS SAMPLES
A portable optical spectroscopy device is disclosed for analyzing gas samples and/or for measurement of species concentration, number density, or column density. The device includes a measuring chamber with the gas sample to be analyzed, a light source with at least one laser diode for emitting a laser beam along a light path running through the measuring chamber at least in certain regions, means for modulating the wavelength of the light beam emitted by the light source, and an optical detector device having a first optical detector and at least one second optical detector. At least a part of the light emitted by the laser diode is detected after the light has passed through the measuring chamber m-times, and at least a part of the light emitted by the laser diode is detected with the at least one second optical detector after the light has passed through the measuring chamber n-times, where n>m applies.

Hyperspectral imaging in diabetes and peripheral vascular disease
The invention is directed to methods and systems of hyperspectral and multispectral imaging of medical tissues. In particular, the invention is directed to new devices, tools and processes for the detection and evaluation of diseases and disorders such as, but not limited to diabetes and peripheral vascular disease, that incorporate hyperspectral or multispectral imaging.
ACCESSORIES FOR HANDHELD SPECTROMETER
A protective sheath having a closed end and an open end is sized to receive a hand held spectrometer. The spectrometer can be placed in the sheath to calibrate the spectrometer and to measure samples. In a calibration orientation, an optical head of the spectrometer can be oriented toward the closed end of the sheath where a calibration material is located. In a measurement orientation, the optical head of the spectrometer can be oriented toward the open end of the sheath in order to measure a sample. To change the orientation, the spectrometer can be removed from the sheath container and placed in the sheath container with the calibration orientation or the measurement orientation. Accessory container covers can be provided and placed on the open end of the sheath with samples placed therein in order to provide improved measurements.
Handheld mobile device for detection of biological evidence
A system including: a mobile device, including: a camera configured to capture multiple images of a subject; a processor configured to identify a first image of the captured images as a blue frame, wherein the image was captured while the subject was illuminated by blue light, and identify a second image of one of the captured images as a white frame, wherein the image was captured while the subject was illuminated by white light; associate the blue frame with the white frame; detect a feature depicted in the blue frame that is not depicted in the associated white frame, and indicate the detection of the feature to a user; and a user interface display configured to separately render the blue frame and the white frame.

Ambient light sensor window coatings for electronic devices
An electronic device may have a display with a cover layer. An ambient light sensor may be aligned with an ambient light sensor window formed from an opening in a masking layer on the cover layer in an inactive portion of the display. To help mask the ambient light sensor window from view, the ambient light sensor window may be provided with a black coating that matches the appearance of surrounding masking layer material while allowing light to reach the ambient light sensor. The black coating may be formed from a black physical vapor deposition thin-film inorganic layer with a high index of refraction. An antireflection layer formed from a stack of dielectric layers may be interposed between the black thin-film inorganic layer and the display cover layer.
