METHOD FOR MONITORING A PART VIA COLORIMETRY
A method of fabricating and inspecting a part, the method including the following steps a) treating a substrate including aluminum by a chemical conversion method making use of a treatment solution including chromium with a degree of oxidation of +III in order to obtain a part presenting a chemical conversion layer; and b) inspecting the presence of the chemical conversion layer obtained during step a) by using a colorimeter to measure the color of the chemical conversion layer and by comparing the measured color with a reference color.
Device and method for determining observation geometry
Systems and methods for determining illumination angle and viewing angle in color observation are described. The system includes an optical capturing device to acquire an image of its surroundings and a processing unit. When operated, the processing unit executes the following steps: identify a position of a light source in the image acquired by the optical capturing device; identify a position of a viewer in the image acquired by the optical capturing device; determine a first angular position of the light source with respect to the optical capturing device and a second angular position of the viewer with respect to the optical capturing device and provide the first angular position and the second angular position to define an actual viewing geometry.
Microfluidic device
The present disclosure teaches an apparatus and a method for providing one or more substance liquids to a microfluidic channel network. The microfluidic apparatus includes valves for switching the one or more substance liquids to a microfluidic channel network. The apparatus can be used to generate a sequence of the one or more substance liquids as individual droplets in an immiscible separation liquid wherein individual ones of the sequence of droplets are located between the separation liquid.
COLOR CHART
When relation between a color of a color chip (a patch) in a color chart and a color of a color chip in an image-captured color chart is calculated, the color chip of the image-captured color chart was manually extracted by operating a keyboard or a mouse. Such an operation had a problem that an extraction error may occur, and that it takes time to manually extract all color chips in the color chart. The present invention solved the problem by a color chart in which recognition can be easily and automatically executed. The color chart includes a plurality of patches, and an automatic recognition marker configured to automatically recognize at least one of the plurality of patches.
Facial image matching engine
In some examples, a method includes using at least one processor, accessing image data representing an image of a face of a user, identifying a facial feature of the user using the image data, using the at least one processor, automatically matching the facial feature to a matched pattern of a plurality of patterns, based on configured pattern lookup rules, identifying a product depiction, from a plurality of product depictions stored in product database, based on the matched pattern of the plurality of patterns, and causing display of the product depiction on a user interface.
Device for imaging and delivering spectroscopic information
A device for imaging and delivering spectroscopic information comprises an objective (1), an image sensor (2) and an optical component (3) having a spectral differentiation function. The optical component having a spectral differentiation function modifies the image of a point in different ways for at least two colours, so that a form of the image of the point delivers spectroscopic information that appears directly in the image as captured by the image sensor. Such device may be used in a detection and/or surveillance system, which then possesses a lower probability of false alarm value.
Device and Method for Color Identification Using Multiple 2D Material Filters
The present technology provides devices and methods to determine the spectrum or other spectral characteristic, such as color, of a beam of light or other electromagnetic radiation. The beam of light or other electromagnetic radiation is modified without dispersion by broadband transmissive windows and then transmitted onto a detector. Signals from the detector are measured from a training set of radiation having known spectra and used to train the device, after which the device can estimate the spectrum or color of an unknown light or other electromagnetic radiation with exceptionally high accuracy.
Method and computer program product for predicting spectral characteristics of ink applied to a base material
First relational equations which represent characteristics of respective sample colors are obtained, and for the respective sample colors, prediction values of spectral characteristics of characteristics-acquired gradation values for a prediction target color are obtained using the first relational equations. Difference values between the prediction values and actual measurement values are obtained, and a sample color for which a minimum difference value is obtained is selected as a reference color. A second relational equation that represents characteristics of the reference color is obtained, and a prediction value of spectral characteristics of a prediction target gradation value for the prediction target color is obtained using the second relational equation.
Printer calibration with colors selected according to color differences between corresponding colormetric values
A method is described in which sets of corresponding colorimetric values are obtained. In a set, a colorimetric value is associated with a device color. A number of device colors are selected according to the color differences between colorimetric values associated with the same device color. A color calibration pattern is elaborated for a printer to be calibrated using the selected device colors and calibration is performed using the sets of colorimetric values.
DETERMINING THE REDUCTION RATE OF A RECOVERY BOILER
A method to determine a reduction rate of a recovery boiler using optical information from a chemical smelt sample. A processor is used to read a digital frame at least part of which represents the chemical smelt sample of the recovery boiler. An area of interest is determined from the digital frame read comprising at least part of the area in the digital frame representing the chemical smelt sample. Of the pixel values of the area of interest, one or more spectral characteristic values correlating with the change of reduction rate are determined. The reduction rate of the recovery boiler is determined using a reduction rate function of one or more of the determined spectral characteristic values weighted at predetermined weights.
