Movable table

A movable table assembly includes a base, a vertical support, and a table. The base includes a longitudinal frame member and at least one wheel. The vertical support connects with the base at either a first mounting location adjacent a first end of the longitudinal frame member or a second mounting location adjacent a second, opposite, end of the longitudinal frame member. The table connects with the vertical support and is vertically offset from the base. The table extends away from the vertical support toward the second end of the longitudinal frame member when the vertical support is connected with the base at the first mounting location. The table extends away from the vertical support toward the first end of the longitudinal frame member when the vertical support is connected with the base at the second mounting location.

A portable table for supporting a book above a user lying in a bed includes a base that may be positioned on a support surface. The base is positioned proximate the bed. A pair of legs is coupled to and extends upwardly from the base. A frame is coupled to the legs. The frame may be positioned above the user lying in the bed. A plurality of rods is movably coupled to the frame. The rods are positionable in a selected configuration so the rods may support the book. The user may read the book.

Overbed table

An overbed table may have a base support frame with at least three casters and a rechargeable battery. A motor housing with a top wall having an opening may be attached to the base support and a telescoping column that is hollow tubular is attached at a bottom end to the motor housing over the opening to extend upwardly. A linear motor is positioned in the motor housing with a linear motor actuator projecting through the opening and into the telescoping housing wherein an extension member of the linear motor actuator is attached at a top end to a slidable table column member of the telescoping housing. Servo housing is attached at a top end of the slidable table column member with a servomechanism attached in the servo housing positioned for a rotating shaft of the servomechanism to engage a circular bracket attached adjacent to a first end of a table wherein the circular bracket is rotatably engaged with the servo housing. The rechargeable battery is in electrical communication with a control processor of a control panel attached adjacent the first end of the table, to the linear motor and to the servomechanism.

An overbed table wherein a flex top (40) is selectively coupled to a table top frame (38). Flex top (40) has fasteners (118, 120) that engage openings (114, 116) in the table top frame. Flex top (40) also includes pins (74, 76) that cooperate with stops (78, 80, 82, 84) that are defined in tracks (50, 52). When pins (74, 76) are seated on first stops (78, 80) flex top is planar. When pins (74, 76) are seated on other stops (82, 84) panels (54, 56) form a peak (86) that is ergonomically favored for certain activities and uses.

The present invention teaches a bedside table with a disposable hygienic tray which has thereon multiple layers of film. Each layer of film in turn has adhesive, or anti-bacterial compounds, or bacterial detection compounds, or combinations thereof. In use, for example in a hospital, health care setting, home care setting or for home or many other contexts of use, each layer is removed in sequence, exposing a new layer underneath. After a suitable period of usage, the new layer is in turn removed to expose yet another later. When the final layer is removed the disposable tray is removed from the bedside table and replaced with a fresh tray. In embodiments, the core bedside table unit may sit on the floor, mount to a wall rail, or may have a projection dimensioned and configured to pass between the bottom of a mattress and the top of a box spring.
