PYROELECTRIC-TYPE INFRARED DETECTOR AND INTEGRATED CIRCUIT
In a pyroelectric infrared detector in which a pyroelectric element and an integrated circuit performing processing of a detection signal from the pyroelectric element are housed in a package, the integrated circuit includes: a converter that performs analog-to-digital conversion of the detection signal; a signal processor that performs signal processing by a digital filter for the detection signal after the conversion; and an input-output controller that delivers the output data from the signal processor to an external device via serial data communication. A cut-off frequency of the digital filter is settable and changeable by voltage application to the integrated circuit or by a command supplied from the external device via the serial data communication.
THERMAL IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE, THERMAL IMAGE PROCESSING MODULE, THERMAL IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
A thermal image processing device includes: an acquirer that acquires a thermal image from a thermal image sensor; a first processor that performs, on a high temperature pixel indicating a temperature higher than a first temperature among a plurality of pixels included in the thermal image acquired, image processing for decreasing the temperature indicated by the high temperature pixel; and a second processor that performs high frequency enhancement processing for enhancing a high frequency component included in a converted image serving as the thermal image on which the image processing has been performed.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MEASURING TEMPERATURES OF INDIVIDUALS
Systems and methods for operating a thermometer. The methods comprise: generating first sensor data by at least one first sensor of the thermometer; analyzing, by a processor of the thermometer, the first sensor data to obtain a distance value specifying a distance between the thermometer and a surface of a body of a target individual at which the thermometer is pointed; modifying, by the processor, a sensitivity of a thermometer circuit based on the distance value; and generating, by the thermometer circuit, a body temperature measurement for the target individual.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TESTING AN OPERATION OF A GAS HOUSEHOLD COOKING APPLIANCE
A system and method are provided for performing a test operation of a gas household cooking appliance having an oven cavity and a gas burner within the oven cavity. The system and method include an infrared thermocouple configured to be portably and temporarily positioned within the oven cavity and configured to produce an output signal in response to a change in temperature within the oven cavity to confirm that the gas burner has ignited. A control unit is configured to execute the test operation only upon receipt of the output signal from the infrared thermocouple within a predetermined amount of time following an initiation of a gas flow to the gas burner.
DETERMINATION OF SEPARATION DISTANCE FROM THERMAL AND ACOUSTIC INPUT
A method for dynamically determining a separation distance in which thermal images of a space are received that indicate a count and location of users within the space, temperature of the users within the space are received along with acoustic data from the users within the space, which is filtered to include specific symptom-related sounds and discard other sounds. The one or more processors generate a probability of a contagious infection of users within the space at a location determined by the thermal images, based on correlating the temperature and the acoustic data associated with the users within the space. A separation distance from the users within the space is calculated, based on the locations and the probabilities of infection of the users within the space, and a notification corresponding to the calculated separation distance is delivered to a protected user.

A calibration system includes an optical pyrometer. The optical pyrometer captures thermal radiation emitted from raw material. An analysis component is communicatively coupled to the optical pyrometer. The analysis component is programmed to determine calibration parameters from information from the optical pyrometer and a phase transition temperature.
Temperature monitoring for printed circuit board assemblies during mass soldering
A computer determines one or more temperature sensitive components from a part details in a bill of materials for soldering on a printed circuit board assembly, where the bill of materials is a record comprising part details having a reference designator. The computer determines whether temperature sensitive components exist in the bill of materials. Based on determining that at least one of the temperature sensitive components exist in the bill of materials, the computer determines temperature limits for each temperature sensitive component based on the reference designator, monitors, using the thermographic cameras the measured temperatures of the temperature sensitive components during soldering in the reflow oven. Then, based on determining that the measured temperatures of the temperature sensitive components exceeds the temperature limits, the computer determines an elapsed time outside of the temperature limit when the measured temperatures of the temperature sensitive components exceeds the temperature limits.
