This gas imaging device comprises: an infrared imaging section for imaging, under a predetermined first photography condition, infrared radiation from a given area from which gas could leak; an image processing section for generating an image of the given area on the basis of output results from the infrared imaging section; and a control section for, on the basis of vicinity information for the given area and the output results of the infrared imaging section, calculating a reliability indicating whether the first photography condition is suitable for photography of the gas and storing an image of the given area in a storage section in association with at least one from among the reliability and the vicinity information.

User-configurable person detection system, method and apparatus

A system, method and apparatus for configuring a person detection sensor. The person detection sensor may limit its transmissions in accordance with a pre-configured dwell time. The person detection sensor may receive a new dwell time from a personal communication device. When the new dwell time is received, it is stored in memory and is then used to regulate the number of transmissions of the person detection sensor in accordance with the new dwell time.

Systems and methods for securely monitoring a shipping container for an environmental anomaly

Systems and methods are described for securely monitoring a shipping container for an environmental anomaly using elements of a wireless node network of sensor-based ID nodes disposed within the container and a command node associated with the container. The method has the command node identifying which of the ID nodes are confirmed as trusted sensors based upon a security credential specific to each of the ID nodes; monitoring only the confirmed ID nodes for sensor data broadcast those ID nodes; detecting the anomaly based upon the sensor data from at least one of the confirmed ID nodes; automatically generating an alert notification related to the detected environmental anomaly for the shipping container; and transmitting the alert notification to the external transceiver to initiate a mediation response related to the detected environmental anomaly.

Temperature detecting device

A thermometer includes an input unit, a control unit, a temperature sensor and an output unit. In response to an input operation is applied on the input unit, the control unit starts to perform a temperature detecting procedure, wherein the control unit instructs the temperature sensor to periodically perform a plurality of temperature detecting operations to obtain a plurality of detected temperature values corresponding to the temperature detecting operations, and only records X largest valid temperature values among the obtained temperature values. In response to determining that the performed temperature to detecting procedure is completed, the control unit removes the largest one among the recorded valid temperature values and calculates an average value of the remaining one or more target temperature values as a temperature of a target object, so as to instruct the output unit display the temperature.
