WIRELESS TRANSMISSION OF TEMPERATURE DATA FOR A GEOGRAPHIC AREA
20180058939 · 2018-03-01 ·

A user obtains an individual's body temperature data and transmits the data to a medical monitor (e.g., a medical device) for display. Additional data includes a timestamp and location of the body temperature data. Once the data is transmitted, a user may view the medical monitor for a temperature reading. For example, a doctor may take a patient's temperature and the temperature reading is displayed on a medical monitor. The body temperature data of each patient is detected using a preferred temperature detector, such as a temporal artery thermometer using an arterial heat balance approach. After collecting an individual's body temperature data, the body temperature data can be transferred to a processor. By sending body temperature data for many individuals for a geographic region, the processor can identify a pattern (e.g., a pandemic) in the body temperature data.

MULTIPLE CHARACTERISTIC OPTICAL SENSOR

The present application discloses embodiments of a temperature sensor system that uses multiple characteristics of optical radiation signals to determine a temperature of an object. The temperature sensor system includes a light source configured to emit an optical excitation signal propagating to a temperature probe having a phosphor sensing element that emits an optical excitation response signal having a characteristic of phosphorescent radiation proportional to the temperature of the object. The temperature probe emits an optical-excitation-independent signal having a characteristic of black-body radiation emitted by components of the temperature probe. The optical excitation response signal and the optical-excitation-independent signal form a combined signal propagating to a detector that provides a signal representative of the combined signal to a controller configured to separate the signal representative of the combined signal into signals representative of the optical excitation response signal and the optical-excitation-independent signal and calculate the temperature of the object.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR RELIABLE DETECTION OF TEMPERATURE READING

A device and method in which image scanning circuitry acquires imaging information of an object, and thermal detection circuitry is disposed in close proximity to the image scanning circuitry. The thermal detection circuitry estimates a temperature of the image scanning circuitry by calculating a thermal transfer of heat passing from the image scanning circuitry to the thermal detection circuitry.

Control of motorized window treatments and lighting color

Color temperature in a space may be adjusted by controlling one or more lighting control devices (e.g., which control one or more lighting fixtures). Light may enter the space through a window. As a result of daylight control devices associated with the window, the color temperature of light that is entering the space may not be equal to a color temperature of light from outside of the space. A desired color temperature for the space may be input. The color temperature of light emitted by one or more lighting fixtures (e.g., controlled by one or more lighting control devices) may be adjusted to attain the desired color temperature.
