Thermal Radiation Detection Device and System, as Well as Electronic Device Comprising Such a Device or System
A thermal radiation detection device (1), said device comprising a sensor array (2) comprising a plurality of sensor elements (3) and an optical waveguide (4) having a radiation input end (5) and a radiation output end (6). The radiation input end (5) is configured to receive thermal5 radiation, and the radiation output end (6) is operatively connected to the sensor array (2). The optical waveguide (4) is configured to transmit the received thermal radiation as a plurality of simultaneous thermal radiation signals. By decoupling the sensor array from the radiation input end, the relatively large sensor array can be placed in a position optimal for electronic functionality and optimal in view of mechanical constraints, independent of the radiation input position.

Device for determining the temperature of a substrate
An apparatus and a method for determining the temperature of a substrate, in particular of a semiconductor substrate during the heating thereof by means of at least one first radiation source are disclosed. A determination of the temperature is based on detecting first and second radiations, each comprising radiation emitted by the substrate due to its own temperature and radiation emitted by the first radiation, which is reflected at the substrate and at least one of a drive power of the first radiation source and the radiation intensity of the first radiation source.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MEASURING TEMPERATURE
Apparatuses and methods for measuring substrate temperature are provided. In one or more embodiments, an apparatus for estimating a temperature is provided and includes a plurality of electromagnetic radiation sources positioned to emit electromagnetic radiation toward a reflection plane, and a plurality of electromagnetic radiation detectors. Each electromagnetic radiation detector is positioned to sample the electromagnetic radiation emitted by a corresponding electromagnetic radiation source of the plurality of electromagnetic radiation sources. The apparatus also includes a pyrometer positioned to receive electromagnetic radiation emitted by plurality of electromagnetic radiation sources and reflected from a substrate disposed at a reflection plane and electromagnetic radiation emitted by the substrate. The apparatus includes a processor configured to estimate a temperature of the substrate based on the electromagnetic radiation emitted by the substrate. Methods of estimating temperature are also provided.

A system for determining a clinically relevant temperature differential between a predetermined area of interest on the body surface of a mammal and a control area on the body surface of said mammal, said system comprising: a visual and thermal image capturing device, said image capturing device comprising: a housing, a means for capturing a digital visual image within said housing; and a means for capturing a digital thermal image within said housing; a display apparatus, said display apparatus comprising means for showing said captured visual image and said captured thermal image; and a computing apparatus, said computing apparatus operatively connected to said image capturing device and to said display apparatus, said computing apparatus comprising: a means for selecting a control area on the surface of the skin; a means for determining an temperature of said control area; a means for selecting an area of clinical interest within said visual image; a means for calculating plane geometric features of said selected area of clinical interest; a means for overlaying said digital image onto said thermal image in a desired orientation on said display apparatus; and a means for applying a unique pixel value to a specific predetermined temperature range on said thermal image.
TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT SYSTEM FOR FURNACES
A method for measuring furnace temperatures. The method includes obtaining radiance measurements from a plurality of regions of interest (ROIs) using a plurality of thermal imaging cameras, and measuring a surface temperature using a radiance measurement obtained from an ROI selected from the plurality of ROIs. Measuring the surface temperature includes determining an effective background radiance affecting the selected ROI using radiance measurements obtained from ROIs different from the selected ROI, obtaining a compensated radiance by removing the effective background radiance from the radiance measurement obtained from the selected ROI, and converting the compensated radiance to the measured surface temperature.
TECHNIQUES FOR DETERMINING EMITTED RADIATION INTENSITY
Systems and methods according to one or more embodiments are provided for determining an emitted radiation intensity of an object in a thermal image. In one example, a system includes a memory component configured to store a plurality of captured thermal images of a scene and a processor. The processor is configured to select a pixel on a thermal image corresponding to a measured radiation intensity associated with an object in the scene. Real world coordinates of the object are determined. An emitted radiation intensity of the object is calculated using the determined real world coordinates and the measured radiation intensity. Additional systems and methods are also provided.
ENHANCED MULTISPECTRAL SENSOR CALIBRATION
Devices, systems, and methods are provided for enhanced multispectral sensor calibration. A device may include a first layer having copper, a second layer having solder material, the second layer above the first layer, and a third layer having a white silkscreen material, the third layer above the second layer. Regarding the device, the first layer may be used for calibration of a thermal sensor, the second layer may be used for calibration of an image sensor and calibration of a light detection and ranging (LIDAR) sensor, and the third layer may be used for the calibration of the image sensor and the calibration of the LIDAR sensor.

The present invention is related to a non-contact infrared thermometer, which includes at least three infrared sensors, an indicating unit and a microprocessor. The at least three infrared sensors are arranged in serial to receive an infrared ray at a target area. The indicating unit is configured to emit visible light on the target area to indicate a received infrared region. The microprocessor is configured to receive and process the infrared ray measured by the at least three infrared sensors to provide at least three temperature values, thereby determining that the object to be measured is an organism.
