Connector apparatus

A connector component for use with a storage unit is provided. The connector component is configured to fit around and engage a frame support member of the storage unit and to receive and attach to an end portion of a shelving component used with the storage unit. The connector component can include a sidewall having two opposing ends. The sidewall can be configured in the form of a loop that forms an opening extending through the connector component, where the opening is configured to receive the frame support member of the storage unit. The connector component can further include a slot defined between the two opposing ends to allow the connector component to receive the frame support member. Each opposing end of the sidewall can include a channel extending along the height of the sidewall in order to receive and engage the end portion of the shelving component.

The connection pipes include an outer pipe with a large diameter, and an inner pipe with a small diameter slidably inserted into the outer pipe.

A plurality of horizontal crossbeams, which are fastened to the two columns, each are in the form of a rectangular hollow profiled crossbeam element. Crossbeam connectors are fastened to the end faces of the hollow profiled crossbeam element. The crossbeam connectors each engage, with at least one pin, in one of the holes of the hole pattern strips.

Optionally, the thickened portion runs the length of the beam or post. In some embodiments, a fastener (e.g., a loop and/or hook) is formed in the thickened portion of the wall. For example, the fastener formed by punching out of the wall. Optionally, the fasteners are used to connect the posts to the beams.

The plurality of shelves can be at least three shelves. In addition, the present invention may include a kid for a shoe rack that includes a base, a first and second side rail, where each side rail has an angled first end that has an angle from 45 degrees to less than 90 degrees, a plurality of shelves that each has a platform, a first joint and a second joint and includes a plurality of fasteners.

Each of the support beams extends between two of the four corner columns, and each support beam is paired with a corresponding second support beam to form pairs of support beams. Each of the beam braces extends between the support beams of one of the pairs of support beams and comprises a first end portion, a second end portion, and a middle portion. The first and second end portions comprise substantially planar faces. The middle portion is between the first end portion and the second end portion and comprises first and second edges, wherein the first end portion and the second end portion extend away from the first and second edges, respectively, in opposite directions.
