The stored determined statistical measure of temperature information can be used to optimize or improve one or more storage system operations.

The method includes: receiving reading statistics of a temperature sensor that are collected at intervals of a predetermined time in a stable vehicle working condition, where the reading statistics include a highest temperature reading and a lowest temperature reading of the temperature sensor within each predetermined time; determining a highest temperature reading trend, a lowest temperature reading trend, and a largest temperature reading difference in the stable vehicle working condition based on the highest temperature reading and the lowest temperature reading; and determining a status of the temperature sensor based on the highest temperature reading trend, the lowest temperature reading trend, and the largest temperature reading difference. The method is capable of accurately determining whether a battery temperature sensor is anomalous.

The system may further determine a timestamp corresponding to each of the one or more readings and calculate, using the one or more readings and their corresponding timestamps, an exposure of a good stored within the temperature controlled area. The system may further determine that the calculated exposure of the good has surpassed a pre-determined exposure threshold for the good and send an electronic message configured to indicate such determination to a user. The system may use a neural network to predict future readings based on current readings and use the predicted future readings in methods described herein.

It is determined whether a temperature variation of the set of temperature measurements satisfies a second condition. In response to a determination that the first temperature measurement satisfies the first condition or the temperature variation satisfies the second condition, a temperature related event is logged. A message is sent to a host system indicating the temperature related event.
