Assembly and insert for evenly heating a smokable substance
Assemblies and inserts are provided for evenly heating a smokable substance. A hookah bowl insert is provided for heating a smokable substance. The insert has a central core having at least one passageway extending therethrough. The insert further has a plurality of radial extensions extending in a radial direction from the central core. The radial extensions may be for gripping the smokable substance therebetween, and each radial extension has a vertical extension extending in a direction perpendicular to the radial direction. The insert is formed from a heat conductive material, such that heat is distributed across the insert, and within the individual radial and vertical extensions. Each vertical extension has a thickness larger than a thickness of the insert at the central core. As such, the vertical extensions can maintain stable temperatures and transfer heat to and from the smokable substance located therebetween.

CHARCOAL HEADPIECE FOR A WATER PIPE
A coal receptacle of a hookah. The coal receptacle incudes a base and a top. The base has a perforated bottom and an outer annular wall which surrounds the perforated bottom. The top has an annular edge. The annular edge of the top rests on the outer annular wall of the base in a positive engagement. The base forms a bottom ash receiving chamber which receives ash from the pieces of coal. Inside the outer annular wall of the base, a grate for the pieces of coal is borne at a variable height above the perforated bottom and at a distance therefrom. The top forms a domed cover for the bottom ash receiving chamber and the grate.

Smoking Apparatus and Method
Apparatus consistent with the present disclosure may be a pipe that includes heat transfer materials that have a thermal conductivity of greater than 50 Watts per meter Kelvin. Heat transfer materials may include one or more solid heat sinks (that are rigidly connected to each other or to a portion of the pipe), Peltier devices, or loose fill of a desired size or shape. Fill included in the pipe may also absorb particulate matter or volatile organic compounds. As a user burns or vaporizes materials at one end of the pipe and sucks heated smoke or vapor into the pipe, that user may inhale cool and clean smoke or vapor. Methods and apparatus consistent with the present disclosure may allow a controller at the pipe to send sensor or consumption data to other electronic devices when a number of milligrams of a substance inhaled by a patient are monitored.
SHISHA SYSTEM WITH A HEATING UNIT COMPRISING TWO ELECTRODES
A shisha system comprising an aerosol-generating article (90) and a shisha device (50). The aerosol-generating article (90) comprises an aerosol-forming substrate (92). The shisha system further comprises a first electrode (15) and a second electrode (16). The shisha device (50) comprises a liquid cavity (54) configured to contain a volume of liquid, the liquid cavity (54) having a head space outlet (60); an article cavity (14) configured to receive an aerosol-forming substrate (92), the article cavity (14) being in fluid communication with the liquid cavity (54). The shisha device further comprises an oscillation circuit (10) configured for connection to the first electrode (15) and the second electrode (16). The oscillation circuit (10) is configured to supply a radio frequency (RF) alternating voltage to the first electrode (15) and the second electrode (16), the RF voltage between the first electrode (15) and the second electrode (16) generating an alternating radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic field between the first electrode (15) and the second electrode (16) for heating the aerosol-forming substrate (92) when the aerosol-generating article (90) is received in the article cavity (14).
