The back shelf portion includes a first connecting element for releasably attaching the back shelf portion to an electrically powered support member, and the front shelf portion includes a second connecting element for releasably attaching the front shelf portion to the back shelf portion. Present embodiments relate to a shelf system for an appliance which has a lock device that may be easily retrofitted to render the shelves locked in position rather than removable and/or adjustable. The lock system inhibits rotation of the shelf in a direction normally required for removal of the shelf and movement thereof. The lock may be formed integrally or may be formed separately of the shelf support or bracket and may be connected to the bracket once the shelf is in a desired position in order to lock the shelf in place.

A frame hooking and connecting structure includes a column, each side of which is formed with a first through hole, and a parallel second through hole. A first support rod is provided to hook the column. A bracket device includes a longitudinal wall, an end wall, a mounting member, a protruded lug, a blocking member and an elastic member. The end wall is connected to the longitudinal wall. The mounting member is connected to the end wall. The protruded lug is arranged on the longitudinal wall and includes a supporting section. The blocking member is movably mounted to the protruded lug, and includes a blocking part and an extension part. The extension part is configured to abut against the supporting section of the protruded lug. The elastic member is configured to provide an elastic force to the blocking member for holding the blocking part of the blocking member at a predetermined position relative to the end wall.

A bracket device includes a side wall, an end wall and a supporting base. The end wall is bent relative to the side wall. The end wall has a first hole and a second hole. The supporting base has a first base hole and a second base hole. The first base hole and the second base hole are arranged at positions respectively corresponding to the first hole and the second hole of the end wall. Each of the first base hole and the second base hole has a thread feature.
