A method for measuring an axial-force of a bolt fastened to a component to be fastened, includes temporarily fastening the bolt to the component to be fastened with a temporarily-tightening torque, the temporarily-tightening torque being a torque which is determined in advance and by which a depression is formed on a head of the bolt, measuring a first axial force of the temporarily-fastened bolt, regularly fastening the bolt to the component to be fastened with a regularly-tightening torque, the regularly-tightening torque being torque which is determined in advance and larger than the temporarily-tightening torque, measuring a second axial force of the regularly-fastened bolt, and measuring an estimated axial force of the regularly-fastened bolt by using the torque with which the bolt is temporarily fastened, the torque with which the bolt is regularly fastened, and a difference between the first and second axial forces.

CONTROL METHOD OF AN ELECTROMECHANICAL APPARATUS FOR INSTALLING A PLUNGER TIP IN A SYRINGE

A control method of an electromechanical apparatus (10) for installing a plunger tip (31) in a syringe (21), the control method comprising: providing a syringe (21) with at least one opening (22); providing a plunger tip (31) configured for snug insertion in the opening (22); pushing the plunger tip (31) inside the syringe (21), by a pusher rod (60) of the electromechanical apparatus (10), the plunger tip (31) passing through an intermediate cannula element (50); monitoring over time a force exchanged between the plunger tip (31) and the pusher rod (60), providing a force signal (401, 402, 403, 404) by a force detector (61) of the electromechanical apparatus (10); analyzing the force signal (401, 402, 403, 404) to determine an installation status of the plunger tip (31) in the syringe (21).

System for Protecting a Sensor for a Force Measurement and Implantable Occlusion Device Comprising Such a System for Protecting the Sensor
20230129458 · 2023-04-27 ·

The invention relates to a system for protecting a sensor for a force measurement comprising: a force measurement sensor (1), designed to measure at least one tractive force or one compressive force exerted along a longitudinal axis (X) of the sensor, said sensor being designed to be made integral with a moveable part of a fluid reservoir, and a pre-strained elastic element (2) arranged to bias the force sensor (1) in a direction opposite to said exerted force, said elastic element being deformable in the direction of the exerted force so as to protect the sensor from at least one compressive or tractive force greater than a threshold.

Hand tool edge tester

A hand tool edge tester for evaluating the sharpness and smoothness of the cutting edge of a blade for the hand tool like a knife is provided according to the invention. The knife blade is held stationary along a horizontal, longitudinal axis. A long piece of solid tape of the cuttable substrate material like Teflon moved within a reel-to-reel tape mechanism attached to a tape carriage travels simultaneously horizontally as the tape carriage moves along a longitudinal axis, and along an upwardly inclined, diagonal pathway defined by the reel-to-reel mechanism. The blade of the hand tool slices the upwardly, diagonally moving tape ribbon with the load cell measuring the cutting force exerted by the tape ribbon against the blade as it is moved along the distance of the cutting edge substantially between the hand tool handle and the blade tip. The diagonal axis for the path of the traveling cuttable substrate media tape allows the knife blade to cut the tape more easily without tearing, along with an approximate 90° angle between the blade tip and the cutting media pathway, thereby providing a more accurate measurement by the load cell of the tip portion of the blade as it slices the tape. The cutting force data produced by the load cell yields a cutting profile for the cutting edge along the hand tool blade to indicate the relative sharpness and smoothness of the cutting edge.

SMART FRETBOARD

A sensing fretboard for stringed instruments is described herein with respect to a guitar. The present invention includes custom frets and a modular sensing array that can be incorporated into a fretboard and coupled to the guitar. By measuring the dynamic forces applied by the players on the frets and strings of the guitar, musicians can be warned in real time during practice, when their grip is too strong, and to help musicians learn and recover from injuries.
