Sensor systems and methods for detecting conveyor tension in a mining system
11511944 · 2022-11-29 · ·

A conveyor system that includes a sprocket, a conveyor element, a sensor, a tensioning system, and an electronic processor. The conveyor element is coupled to the sprocket to move around the sprocket. The sensor is positioned adjacent to the sprocket and configured to generate an output signal indicative of a detection of the conveyor element. The electronic processor is coupled to the sensor and to the tensioning system. The electronic processor is configured to receive the output signal from the sensor, estimate a trajectory of the conveyor element based on the output signal, determine a value for slack distance based on the estimated trajectory of the conveyor element, and control the tensioning system based on the value for slack distance.

A method monitors at least one suspension apparatus in an elevator system, wherein the suspension apparatus includes at least one electrically conducting tension load carrying member that is surrounded by an electrically insulating jacket. The method includes the steps of: repeated determination of a value of an electrical characteristic of at least one tension load carrying member or of a group of tension load carrying members; establishment of a mean value on the basis of the determined values; and comparison of the mean value established with a reference value.

SENSING OF STRETCHING OF STRAPS OF MOTION TRACKING SYSTEM FOR ENHANCED USAGE OF THE SYSTEM

A method: includes the following steps: processing, by a computing device, at least a stretch value per strap of straps of a motion tracking system; comparing, by the computing device, the stretch value of each strap or a length value derived therefrom with a stored baseline value of the respective strap, the stored value being associated with the same person, and the length value being representative of a length of a respective strap at least based on the respective stretch value. The method further includes executing, by the computing device, a corrective action at least when one of the comparisons made exceeds a predetermined threshold. Also, a motion tracking system, a data processing device, a computer program, and a computer-readable medium are related.

EQUIPMENT STATE DETECTION DEVICE, EQUIPMENT STATE DETECTION METHOD, AND PROGRAM

An object of the present invention is to provide an equipment state detecting device, an equipment state detecting method, and a program that can create a 3D model of a cable based on three-dimensional coordinates acquired using a laser scanner or the like, and precisely estimate the tension for the entirety of the cable even if the entirety of the cable is not three-dimensionally modeled in the cable model. An equipment state detecting device of the present invention creates a 3D model of a cable based on three-dimensional coordinates acquired using a laser scanner or the like, acquires a sag and a straight line connecting ends of the 3D model based on the 3D model, and calculates the tension of the cable using a known cable load per unit length.
